GOD’S ABUNDANCE

Five principles:
1. God’s provision is in His promises.
2. God’s promises are our inheritance.
3. The promises are an expression of God’s will.
4. All God’s promises are available to us through Christ Jesus.
5. The fulfillment of God’s promises does not depend on our circumstances but upon meeting His conditions.

All God’s promises are available to us through Christ Jesus.

2 Cor. 1: 20
All God’s promises are Yea, and in Him Amen unto the glory of God by us.

NB:
1. All the promises of God, not some.
2. Are Yea: signifies the present (now), now is the time for the promises of God to come to pass. Not tomorrow!
3. In Him: only in Jesus can the promises of God come to pass, not in any other person. The only channel through which God makes His promises come to pass for us is Jesus Christ.
4. Unto the glory of God: every promises that comes to pass is to glorify God. When asking or believing God for something, it should be to His glory and not for us to show off or make a name for ourselves. It should be to glorify God, causing other people's lives to be transformed.
5. Us: we have a role to play as well, to say Amen! To believe and receive the promises by FAITH. We must not depend on anybody to play this role for us.

THE FATHER’S HEART

What is the Father’s heart like?
The first Biblical reference to His heart is recorded in Gen 6:6
To understand this Divine heart-pain, we need only to read verse 5 to understand the Father’s heart….
We must first of all know clearly that sin brings pain to His loving heart.
Understanding just a bit of the Father’s heart-pain, should create within us a longing for holiness and righteousness.
We must long to ascend the hill of the Lord with pure hearts, pure thoughts, and clean hands(Ps.15:1-5).

A Reoccurrence of Noah’s Day….
Gen 6:1-2; Matt 24:37-39
Satan’s strategy was to entice the “sons of God” to mix with the “daughters of men” and thus abandon their devotion to God.
Christians face the same temptation today (James 4:4; 1Jn2:15-17; Rom 12:2) rather than being separated from the world(2Cor 6:14-7:1).

The Father’s heart is with His Praying People (2 Chron 7:16)
God so desires intimacy and communication with His people that His Father’s heart is always inclined toward a place of prayer.
The Father now comes to live with us that we might always walk in close communion (Jn 14:23).
When this desire for close communion with God becomes the desire of our own hearts, we will find ourselves lining up with the heart of the Father.

The Father’s heart is Filled with Compassion & Love for His flock
Isaiah 40: 11
God has a special concern and care for the weakest among us….the lambs who are defenseless.
Our hearts are never closer to the Father’s than when we , too, find ourselves taking up the cause of the least among us.
Whether it is the unborn, little children, the handicapped, the elderly, or the oppressed, we who share in His heart must pick up His little lambs and carry them close to our hearts.

The Father as a Shepherd (Jer. 3:15)
The Father always leads with knowledge and understanding(Ps. 73:24).
He knows the ways we should walk and understands what it will take to lead us onto those paths(Ps. 1:6).
No longer will it be the blind leading the blind.
Like Jesus, our Chief Shepherd, all fathers ought to hear what the Father is saying and do what they see the Heavenly Father doing.
