*TODAY'S TOPIC: A Generation Of Salt And Light In This Dark World.*

*Scripture References:*
*Exodus 32:26-28; Matthew 5:13-16; Philippians 2:15*

*Exposition:*
The world expects Christians to consistently release salt to stop corruption and provide light to dispel the darkness that has plagued this world. God has given you a territory for this influence, which includes your family, school, workplace, friends, neighbours, church and community. You must be the model of Christ in that corner.

Christians must brighten the corner where they are and not darken it. If some engage in corrupt practices, you must be different and remain a model. From our first Scripture reading, we identify a certain kind of youth. They were remnants. Whilst some people were taking off their clothes, the remnants were putting on their armour! You too can become a person who takes a stand for God. The role of the Christian as salt and light in the world may be hindered or prevented if he or she thinks more about personal comfort rather than that which is pleasing to the Lord.

We must be the light that illuminates the world and the salt that preserves and gives taste and godly virtues. In this era, where corruption is the order of the day, we must raise the banner of Christ on high. A missionary once said, “no matter how you may see a church to be corrupt, there are a number of these believers who maintain a righteous relationship with God; these are the people God calls “REMNANTS.” Are you a remnant? Can light go out in darkness? Can salt lose its taste in the pot of soup?

*TODAY'S TOPIC: The Christian Youth And Sextortion.*

*Exposition:*
Another issue plaguing this corrupt world, especially the youth, is s*xtortion. Sextortion is the use of actual or threatened force or fears to expose s*xual images in order to make a person do something or for other reasons, such as revenge or humiliation. It is coined from a combination of s*xual exploitation and coercion. Sextortion often happens online, usually on social networking sites, chats and mobile messaging apps. It often starts with s*xting, which happens as parties exchange s*xually explicit messages, pictures or movies on their phones or on social media chats. As Christians, we do not have to be found in this quagmire.

In this s*x craze world, Christians must endeavour to uphold s*xual integrity and not give leeway to the enemy to intimidate and extort them. The best way to avoid this scandal is self-discipline. Do not send nor solicit n**e pictures or s*xually explicit materials from anyone. Let us honour God with our bodies and present them as holy and acceptable in His sight. The youth today should be very careful and alert as the devil has a lot of schemes in this corrupt world to get us off track.
