Prelude from yesterday

UNLEASHED: THE RELEASE WITH A PURPOSE

Topic: Take a ride in the palm of God (Isaiah 40:10).

As we begin the year, I would be sharing tit bits gleaned from some biblical characters.

Let's start the journey with how to become solid for the walk of life.

When God have you in His palm, you are sure of security, comfort, company, treasures and pleasures. God does not just hold us; He upholds us. That is He bears us in His palms.

Being held up high can be a bit scary until you learn to trust the one bearing you up. So as you move and cove in the year, learn to trust Him. Take the ride through the year in God's palm.

Here are few things to do as you trust God.
1. Develop more intimate time with God. Prayer, study the word of God, fast, praise and worship more even in your privacy.

2. Read insightful books, articles. Not only Christian material but academic and enlightening ones. Make personal notes at church, home as you read.

3. Write. It is said 'reading makes a person' but I add, 'writing reveals the person'. If you want to know who you are and for others to appreciate your depth, write. You can write on how you see life unfold this year, observations in nature, biblical revelations. Who knows, you may be on your way to write a book for us.

4. Spend time with family and friends. Learn to chill and cool off in company. Be relevant to others and let them also invest into you.

5. Learn to rest. Set period of rest. The body needs rejuvenation.

6. Eat right and exercise well.

7. Take good care of your body. It is the house of your body and soul. When it fails, you fail here on earth.

8. Redeem your thought pattern. Focus on holy things. Guide the windows of your eyes, ears, skin. What goes through them must be sieved.
