Join us in praying for Africa. 🌍🙏

Would you consider joining us in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Africa and the needs and opportunities before them?

Bishop James Kolaowle, General Presbyter of Africa has shared the following are key prayer needs for the area:

1) Pray for spiritual growth and evangelism: We want genuine spiritual revival, discipleship among young people, unity among churches, boldness and wisdom for pastors, evangelists, and missionaries, effective digital media evangelism, and opportunities for the Gospel to reach unreached and underserved communities.

2) Pray for those facing persecution and conflict: This is especially needed for believers in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and Somalia. Pray for the protection of Christian communities, pastors, and ministers facing violence and the threat of kidnapping.

3) Pray for church planting and ministry expansion: We particularly invite your prayers so that we may have an open door to establish ministry in the nation of Mauritius. We have a vision and desire to plant a work there, so please pray that this can become a reality!

Over the course of this October Mission Drive, may we not only give generously, but also faithfully pray for our global family and the work of God around the world.

Sometimes the situation around us doesn’t need to change—our perspective does.

This week, Sound Doctrine returns to the historic 103rd International Assembly of the Church of God of Prophecy for a powerful message from Bishop Daniel Felipe centered on one of the most remarkable moments in the Gospels—the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ.

Standing on the mountain with Peter, James, and John, Jesus gave His disciples a glimpse beyond the suffering and the cross to the glory that awaited. The reality of what they faced had not changed—but from the mountaintop, they could see beyond the grave. Their perspective had been transformed.

Bishop Felipe shares three powerful “transfiguration truths,” beginning with the challenge to go higher. When fear, anxiety, adversity, and the distractions of “ground-level” living dominate our vision, we need a throne-room perspective that allows us to see our circumstances in light of the glory and greatness of Christ.

And when we measure our circumstances against the right point of reference—Jesus Christ—everything changes. He is greater than our obstacles, greater than our fears, and greater than anything standing before us.

The message concludes with a stirring call to a genuine encounter with Christ—one that doesn't simply give us something to talk about, but transforms how we see, live, and testify of His glory.

Come up higher—and see His glory! Access the Sound Doctrine Podcast on all major podcast platforms or at https://thesounddoctrine.podbean.com.
