THEME: Promise of comfort and hope

TEXT: Genesis 28:15

"I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go... I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

This verse is a powerful reminder of God's love and presence in our lives. It's a promise that God made to Jacob, but it's also a promise that applies to us today.

God is saying, "I am with you." He's not saying, "I'll be with you sometimes" or "I'll be with you when things are going well." No, He's saying, "I am with you always."

He's also saying, "I will watch over you." He's promising to protect us, to guide us, and to keep us safe.

And then He says, "I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." This means that God is committed to fulfilling His promises in our lives. He's not going to leave us hanging or abandon us mid-way.

This verse brings us comfort, encouragement, and hope. It reminds us that we're not alone, that God is always with us, and that He's working everything out for our good.

Beloved in the Lord, so let's hold onto this promise today. Let's trust God to be with us, to watch over us, and to fulfill His promises in our lives.

*Prayer Points*
1. Lord, help me to trust in Your presence and promises in my life.
2. God, I pray that You will watch over me and keep me safe from harm.
3. Lord, give me the strength and courage to face the challenges of life, knowing that You are with me.
4. God, I pray that You will fulfill Your promises in my life and bring me to my destiny.
5. Lord, help me to be patient and trust in Your timing, knowing that You will not leave me until You have done what You have promised.
6. God, I pray that You will give me a deeper understanding of Your love and presence in my life.
7. Lord, use me to bring hope and encouragement to others, that they may know Your presence and promises in their lives.
8. Thank you Lord for answered prayers Amen. πŸ™πŸΏ

THEME: Gods plan to make us Mighty.

TEXT: ISAIAH 60:22

"The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly."

This verse is a powerful promise from God to His people. It's a declaration of His intention to take the smallest and least among us and make them into something mighty and powerful.

The verse starts by saying "the least of you will become a thousand". This is a remarkable promise. God is saying that even the smallest and seemingly insignificant among us can become a mighty force for His kingdom. He's promising to take our weakness and turn it into strength.

The next phrase says "the smallest a mighty nation". This is an incredible declaration. God is saying that even the smallest and most insignificant among us can become a mighty nation. A nation is a large and powerful group of people, and God is promising to make us into that.

The verse ends with "I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly". This is a reminder that God is the one who is speaking, and He is the one who will bring this promise to pass. He's promising to do it in His perfect timing, and to do it quickly.

So, what does this verse mean for us today? It means that we don't have to be held back by our limitations or weaknesses. God can take our smallest efforts and turn them into something mighty and powerful. It means that we can trust God to fulfill His promises, even when it seems impossible. And it means that we can expect God to work quickly and powerfully in our lives.

This verse is also a call to faith and trust. It's a reminder that God is the one who is in control, and that He is the one who will bring about His promises. We don't have to try to make things happen on our own; we can simply trust God and wait for Him to work.

In addition, this verse is a reminder that God's timing is perfect. He knows exactly when to bring about His promises, and He will do it in His perfect timing. We don't have to get impatient or frustrated when things don't happen right away; we can simply trust God and wait for Him to work.

Finally, this verse is a declaration of God's power and ability. It's a reminder that God is the one who can take our weakness and turn it into strength. He's the one who can make the smallest and least among us into something mighty and powerful. And He's the one who will bring about His promises quickly and powerfully.

Beloved, may we trust God to fulfill His promises, and may we wait for Him to work quickly and powerfully in our lives.

*Prayer Points*

1. Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your promise to take the smallest and least among us and make us into something mighty and powerful. Help me to trust in your ability to fulfill this promise.
2. Lord, I pray that you will help me to see beyond my limitations and weaknesses. Give me a vision for what you can do in and through me.
3. Father, I ask that you will work swiftly and powerfully in my life. Bring about your promises quickly, and help me to see your glory and majesty.
4. Lord, help me to wait patiently for your timing. Give me the strength and courage to trust in your perfect plan, even when things seem delayed or impossible.
5. Heavenly Father, I pray that you will make me a blessing to others. Use me to bring about your promises in the lives of those around me.
6. Lord, I thank you for your faithfulness and love. Help me to remain faithful and trusting, knowing that you are always working for my good and for your glory.
7. Thank you Father for answered prayers Amen πŸ™

THEME: consequences of disobedience

TEXT: Numbers 14:28

Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say. In this wilderness your bodies will fallβ€”every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me.'

This passage in Numbers 14:28 is a solemn declaration from God to the Israelites. They had been wandering in the wilderness for some time, and despite God's miraculous deliverance from slavery in Egypt, they had begun to grumble and complain against Him.

God's response is clear and direct. He tells them that He will do to them exactly what He heard them say. Because they refused to trust and obey Him, they would face the consequences of their actions.

This passage teaches us several important lessons. First, our words have power. The Israelites' grumbling and complaining did not go unnoticed by God. He heard their words, and He responded accordingly.

Second, our actions have consequences. The Israelites' refusal to trust and obey God resulted in serious consequences. They would wander in the wilderness for forty years, and an entire generation would not enter the Promised Land.

Third, God is a God of justice and righteousness. He is a God who keeps His promises, but He is also a God who judges sin and disobedience.

So, what does this mean for us today? It means that we must be careful with our words and actions. We must learn to trust and obey God, even when it's difficult or uncomfortable.

We must also recognize that God is a God of justice and righteousness. He will not tolerate sin and disobedience forever. We must repent of our sins and turn to Him in faith.

Finally, we must remember that God is a God of mercy and forgiveness. Despite the Israelites' sin and disobedience, God did not abandon them. He continued to care for them and provide for them in the wilderness.

In the same way, God is willing to forgive and restore us when we sin. We must come to Him in humility and repentance, and He will pardon us and restore us to fellowship with Him.

May we learn from the example of the Israelites and strive to trust and obey God in all things. May we recognize the power of our words and actions, and may we seek to live in a way that honors and glorifies God.

*Prayer Points*
1. Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us for our grumbling and complaining spirits. Help us to trust and obey you, even in difficult circumstances.
2. Lord, we pray that you will help us to be mindful of our words and actions. May we speak and act in ways that honor and glorify you.
3. Father, we ask that you will give us the strength and courage to obey you, even when it's hard. May we trust in your goodness and provision.
4. Lord, we pray that you will forgive us for our sins and restore us to fellowship with you. May we experience your mercy and forgiveness.
5. Heavenly Father, help us to remember that you are a God of justice and righteousness. May we live in reverence and awe of your holiness.
6. Lord, we pray that you will give us a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. May we focus on your blessings and provision, rather than grumbling and complaining.
7. Father, may we learn from the example of the Israelites and strive to trust and obey you in all things. May we seek to live in a way that honors and glorifies you.
8. Thank God for answered prayers Amen. πŸ™

THEME: *GOD'S PRESENCE AMONG US*

TEXT: *Leviticus 26:12:*

"I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people."

This verse is a beautiful promise from God to his people. It's a promise of intimacy, of relationship, and of presence.

In this verse, God says that he will "walk among" his people. This is a picture of God's presence with his people. He's not a distant God who is far away and uninvolved. No, he's a God who is present, who is near, and who is involved in the lives of his people.

God also says that he will "be your God". This is a promise of relationship. God is not just a ruler or a judge, but he's a God who wants to be in a personal relationship with his people.

And then God says, "you will be my people". This is a promise of belonging. As followers of Jesus, we belong to God. We are his people, and he is our God.

This verse is not just a promise for the Israelites, but it's also a promise for us today. As followers of Jesus, we can experience God's presence, his relationship, and his belonging.

So let's hold on to this promise. Let's remember that God is present with us, that he wants to be in a personal relationship with us, and that we belong to him.

Let's live our lives in light of this promise. Let's walk with God, talk with God, and listen to God. Let's cultivate a deep and personal relationship with him.

And let's remember that we are not alone. We are part of a community of believers who are also God's people. Let's support one another, encourage one another, and love one another.

Beloved, may we experience the presence, relationship, and belonging that God promises us in Leviticus 26:12. May we walk with God, and may we be his people.

*Prayer Points*

1. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your promise to walk among us and be our God. Help us to experience your presence in our lives.
2. Lord, help us to cultivate a deep and personal relationship with you. May we walk with you, talk with you, and listen to you.
3. Father, remind us that we belong to you. Help us to live our lives in light of this promise, and may we always remember that we are your people.
4. Lord, help us to support one another, encourage one another, and love one another as members of your community.
5. Heavenly Father, may your presence in our lives bring us joy, peace, and comfort. May we always sense your nearness.
6. Lord, help us to obey your commands and follow your ways. May we be faithful to you and bring glory to your name.
7. Father, may your promise in Leviticus 26:12 be a reality in our lives. May we experience the fullness of your presence, relationship, and belonging.
8. Thank you Father for answered prayers Amen πŸ™

THEME: From Dessert to Delight

TEXT: Isaiah 62:4

No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married."

This verse is a beautiful promise from God to his people. It's a promise of hope, of restoration, and of joy.

The background of this verse is important to understand. The prophet Isaiah is writing to the Israelites who have been in exile for many years. They have been separated from their homeland, and they are feeling deserted and desolate.

But Isaiah brings them a message of hope. He tells them that God has not forgotten them, and that he is going to restore them to their homeland. He's going to make their desert bloom, and he's going to make their desolate land fertile.

The names that Isaiah uses in this verse are significant. The Israelites are no longer going to be called "Deserted" or "Desolate". Instead, they are going to be called "Hephzibah", which means "my delight is in her". And their land is going to be called "Beulah", which means "married".

These names are a picture of the intimate relationship that God wants to have with his people. He wants to delight in them, and he wants them to be married to him.

This verse is not just a promise to the Israelites, but it's also a promise to us. As followers of Jesus, we are part of God's people, and we can claim this promise for ourselves.

We all go through times of feeling deserted and desolate. We all experience times of dryness and barrenness in our spiritual lives. But this verse reminds us that God is always with us, and that he delights in us.

He wants to restore us, to revive us, and to make us fertile again. He wants to make our desert bloom, and he wants to make our desolate land fertile.

So let's hold on to this promise. Let's remember that God delights in us, and that he wants to have an intimate relationship with us. Let's ask him to restore us, to revive us, and to make us fertile again.

May we be like the Israelites, who were restored to their homeland and experienced the delight of God. May we experience the joy of being married to God, and may we always remember that he delights in us.

*Prayer Points*

1. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your promise to restore and revive me. Help me to hold on to your word and to trust in your goodness.
2. Lord, I pray that you would delight in me and take pleasure in my life. Help me to live in a way that honors you and brings joy to your heart.
3. Father, I ask that you would make my spiritual desert bloom and my desolate land fertile. Help me to experience a fresh outpouring of your Spirit and a renewed passion for your presence.
4. Lord, I pray that I would be married to you, deeply connected to your heart and intimately acquainted with your love. Help me to cultivate a deeper relationship with you and to walk in the joy and delight of your presence.
5. Thank you Father for answered prayers Amen. πŸ™

THEME: The Father's Lavished Love

TEXT: 1 John 3:1

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

As we read these words, we are reminded of the incredible love that God has for us. The apostle John writes that the Father has "lavished" his love on us. This word "lavished" means to pour out generously, to give abundantly. It's a word that describes the extravagant, overflowing love of God.

Think about it. We are sinners, unworthy of God's love. We have rebelled against him, disobeyed him, and ignored him. But despite all of this, God still loves us. In fact, he loves us so much that he wants to call us his children.

This is an amazing truth. We are children of God! We are part of his family, heirs to his kingdom, and recipients of his love. We are loved, accepted, and valued by the Creator of the universe.

But this truth is not just a feeling or an idea. It's a reality that should shape our lives. As children of God, we should live like it. We should live with confidence, knowing that we are loved and accepted by God. We should live with purpose, knowing that we have a role to play in God's kingdom. We should live with humility, knowing that we are not worthy of God's love, but that he loves us anyway.

So let's live like children of God. Let's live with gratitude, knowing that we have been lavished with God's love. Let's live with obedience, knowing that we are called to follow God's commands. Let's live with joy, knowing that we are part of God's family and that we have a future hope.

Beloved, Let's remember that we are children of God, loved and accepted by him.

*Prayer Points*

1. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for lavishing your love on me and calling me your child. Help me to grasp the depth of your love and to live accordingly.
2. Lord, help me to live with confidence and purpose, knowing that I am a child of God. Give me the courage to share your love with others.
3. Father, I pray that I would live a life that honors you and reflects your love. Help me to obey your commands and to follow your ways.
4. Lord, thank you for the promise of eternal life with you. Help me to live with an eternal perspective, knowing that my true home is with you.
5. Heavenly Father, I pray that your love would be poured out in my life and in the lives of those around me. Help us to experience the depth of your love and to share it with others.
6. Thank you Lord for answered prayers Amen. πŸ™

THEME: Singing a new song to the Lord

TEXT: PSALM Psalm 96:1-2

"Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day."

Psalm 96 is a call to worship, a call to sing a new song to the Lord. It's a reminder that our God is a great God, worthy of our praise and adoration. As we read through this psalm, let's be encouraged to worship our God with renewed passion and enthusiasm.

The psalm begins by saying, "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth." What does it mean to sing a new song to the Lord? It means to worship him with freshness and excitement. It means to come to him with a heart that is full of joy and gratitude.

We can get stuck in a rut in our worship, singing the same old songs and saying the same old prayers without much thought or feeling. But Psalm 96 calls us to break out of that rut and to worship God with renewed passion and enthusiasm.

The psalm goes on to say, "Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs." How do we worship the Lord with gladness? We do it by coming to him with a heart that is full of joy and gratitude.

When we worship God, we should do it with a sense of joy and celebration. We should come to him with songs and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with our hearts.

Beloved, the psalm reminds us that "the Lord reigns." What does it mean that the Lord reigns? It means that he is in control of everything. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

When we worship God, we are acknowledging his sovereignty over our lives. We are saying that he is in control, and that we trust him to guide and direct us.

As we worship our God, let's do it with freshness and excitement. Let's come to him with a heart that is full of joy and gratitude. Let's remember that the Lord reigns, and that he is in control of everything. Let's trust him to guide and direct us, and let's worship him with renewed passion and enthusiasm.

May our worship be a reflection of our love and devotion to our great God. May we sing a new song to the Lord, and may our hearts be filled with joy and gratitude as we worship him.

*Prayer Points*

1. Dear God, help me to worship you with freshness and excitement, singing a new song to you every day.
2. Lord, I pray that my heart would be filled with joy and gratitude as I come before you in worship.
3. God, remind me that you are the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and that you are in control of everything.
4. Help me, Lord, to trust you to guide and direct me, and to acknowledge your sovereignty over my life.
5. Dear God, I pray that my worship would be a reflection of my love and devotion to you, and that it would bring glory and honor to your name.
6. Lord, fill your church with a spirit of worship and praise, and may we be a people who sing a new song to you every day.
7. Thank you Lord for answered prayers Amen. πŸ™

THEME: Leaving the past behind

TEXT: ISAIAH 43:18-19

Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.

As we begin a new year, many of us are thinking about the past year and all that has happened. We may be thinking about our successes and failures, our joys and sorrows. But as we look back, it's easy to get stuck in the past. We can get caught up in regrets, worries, and fears about what has happened or what might happen.

But today, God's Word speaks to us and says, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past." (Isaiah 43:18) These words are an invitation to let go of the past and to look forward to the future with hope and expectation. When God says, "Forget the former things," he's not saying that we should forget the lessons we've learned or the experiences we've had. He's saying that we should not let the past define us or hold us back.

Think about it. How often do we let past mistakes or failures hold us back from trying new things or taking risks? How often do we let past hurts or disappointments make us afraid to trust others or to hope for good things? But God says, "Forget the former things." Let go of the past and its regrets, worries, and fears. Don't let it define you or hold you back.

Not only are we to forget the former things, but we are also not to dwell on the past. To dwell on something means to think about it a lot, to focus on it, to make it the center of our attention. But God says, "Do not dwell on the past." Don't make the past the center of your attention. Instead, focus on the present and look forward to the future.

Why can we forget the former things and not dwell on the past? Because God is doing a new thing! (Isaiah 43:19) He is always working, always creating, always bringing new life and new possibilities. When we focus on the past, we can miss out on the new things God is doing. We can miss out on the opportunities, the blessings, and the joys that he has in store for us.

As we begin this new year, let us remember God's words: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" Let us let go of the past and its regrets, worries, and fears. Let us focus on the present and look forward to the future with hope and expectation. May God bless you and give you a fresh start this year.

*Prayer Points*

1. Dear God, thank you for the new year and the fresh start it brings. Help me to let go of the past and its regrets, worries, and fears. Give me a clean slate and a new beginning.
2. Lord, I ask for your forgiveness for the mistakes and failures of the past year. Help me to forgive myself and others, and to move forward with a heart free from bitterness and resentment.
3. Dear God, I ask for your guidance and direction in the new year. Help me to make wise decisions and to stay on the path that you have set before me.
4. Lord, I pray that you would fill me with hope and expectation for the new year. Help me to trust in your goodness and to look forward to the future with confidence and faith.
5. Dear God, I ask that you would bring new opportunities and experiences into my life in the new year. Help me to be open to new challenges and to trust in your provision and guidance.
6. Lord, I pray that you would help me to grow and mature in my faith in the new year. Help me to become more like you and to reflect your love and character to those around me.
7. Dear God, I ask that you would be present with me in the new year. Help me to feel your presence and to trust in your love and care for me. May I be aware of your presence in every moment and may I live in the light of your love.
8. Thank you Father for answered prayers. Amen πŸ™

TOPIC : ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Perhaps a simple way to avoid falling into legalism or license, is to follow Paul's simple instruction to do everything to the glory of God to reverently and honestly ask the question, is my behaviour honouring to Him? Do my actions and attitude bring glory to God or am I tarnishing His holy name?

May we take to heart this simple instruction from Paul, that whether we eat, or drink, or whatever we do, we do all to the glory of God. PH 603

Prayer
Oh Lord my God, how I long to be one whose life is a living testimony to Your goodness and grace and whose only desire is to live my life to glorify You. Take my life, Lord, and may Your will be done in all I say and do today.
