1. What is God's message to men today?
In the days preceding the coming of Jesus and His forerunner, John the Baptist, there had been four hundred years of silence from God, literally a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. But God had some whose ears were attuned to his voice and whose heart were receptive. Among them were ZECHARIAH and Elizabeth.
Today God is still talking. He is calling men everywhere to repentance as He has always done. But, whereas his message to Zechariah concerned preparation for the first advent of His son, today His message relates to preparation for the second advent of His son.
