I was selling drugs, drunk & promiscuous. I was really into horror movies & love songs.I was out to find & experience love. I was least liked & loved in my home and at school. God caused me to change because He showed me that no man could give me what I was searching so hard for. He showed me that I was killing myself in so many ways. God kept me in my right mind. The movies became real & I became suicidal. I was always love sick from the music, He changed that too.

God kept me from making it somewhere on time one night & had I made it there I would have been killed with everyone else that was there. This made me realize that I needed something different, something more & that something was God. My faith has opened my eyes to who I am. I have been sober for 12 years, no ci******es for 11 years, pot free for so long I lost count. I'm celibate, raising my two nieces after raising my son & daughter. I learned that God is faithful, He does what He says He will do. I learned that He is to be trusted & adored.

I learned to be watchful of what I allow in my gates (eyes, ears, mind etc.). Everything I was searching for I found in Him. Jesus saved me. I've been knocked down, but I promise if you get back up you become harder to knock down the next time. I would say that my most important lesson learned from God is this to live for Him is well worth it no matter what hardship comes He is there with me in the storm & He is faithful.

Donna's testimony "Believing In Prayer" on 6/17/2016, 12:42pm...

About a year and a half ago my sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She was devastated and so afraid of dying and leaving her husband, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

We come from a family of believers in Christ due to our upbringing from our mother. After the diagnoses we were all scared but tried to stay upbeat for my sister who was actually in the process of planning her death. She cried for weeks and even though she believed in healing she was still scared and the human side could only see the bad. We had recently lost our mother to cancer; six months later my brother-in-law died of cancer and a year later lost a sister to an anurisum in her brain.

One day I went to work and I could not concentrate and just cried and cried worried I was getting ready to loose another sister. I left work and my sister and I met at our church where the ladies were having their weekly prayer meeting. They prayed so fervently for her and the tears flowed that day. My sister had an appointment with the doctors at Chapel Hill in N.C. to get a second opinion and set up for whatever came next. A week later they operated and there was no cancer anywhere; just an inverted o***y that was causing her pain.

God healed her that day at church and the next Sunday I gave the testimony to that affect. I absolutely believe if it had not been for the prayers of such faithful, believing Christian women she may not be here today. But God saw fit to heal her and she is living for him today. You should always believe God will heal not just your body but your soul. I thank God today for his healing touch in her life.
