*YOU ARE NEVER ALONE*

*Isaiah 40:11 (KJV)*
*He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.*

The book of Isaiah follows the Jewish people during their exile from Babylon. Times were tough: the city of Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonian king, Nebuchadrezzar, and the Jewish people were enslaved for decades. In Isaiah 40, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The Jewish people are permitted to return to Jerusalem, ending their exile, but a long trek is ahead of them. With this context in mind, I believe Isaiah 40:11 begins to make a lot more sense.

What is the longest walk you have ever been on? How about the longest walk in the summer in the desert? Now imagine that you don't know when you will arrive, what will be there when you arrive, and that each day brings you to a new place that you have possibly never been before. Imagine the fear you would feel, the insecurity you would be wracked with on a daily basis, and the anxiety you would feel towards the unknown you would encounter every single day. There is an answer, however, a guiding hope that will lead you when you are lost. It is the Lord our Shepherd. This imaginary exercise can only paint a very loose picture of what the exiles of Jerusalem were truly feeling. They were enslaved for decades, broken and tortured, split from their families and had their faith decimated. They continued to trust in God, and God never abandoned them.

The rejoicing tone of this verse can be easily felt. Wandering in the desert, tired and lost, the Jews are finally allowed to return home. Their faith wavered, their will was tested, but God fed his flock, gathered and carried them, and gently led those with children. A shepherd can carry a baby lamb and will see the mother of the baby follow closely, the most intimate and gentle experience that a shepherd can perform.
PRAYER
What can we take from this verse that we can use for our own lives.
First trust in God. He will never abandon us, he will be there for us anytime we need Him.
Second think of others that we can be shepherds towards. Carry those who need to be carried when they need it, lead those who need leading when we are able.
Lastly, be wise enough to realize that not everything is in our control. God had a plan for the Jews in the Book of Isaiah, and although it may have been impossible for many of them to realize his plans at that time, the plan was there and God followed through with it. The same can become our lives too: although God's divine plans might be very difficult to see, know that it is there. Know what we can and what we can't control, and leave everything else into the hands of God.
Hallelujah
May the Grace of God cover us all.

*DEAD INDEED UNTO SIN*

*Romans 6:11-23 (KJV)* *Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.*
*Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.*
*Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.*
*For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.*
*Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?*
*But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you.*
*Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.*
*I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.*
*For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.*
*What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.*
*But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.*
*For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.*

This is something that we all must strive towards. We are all sinners that have been given a chance at second life. We are alive because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God.

What does it mean to be alive? When have you felt the most alive? Studies have shown that the older that we get, the generally more happy that we get. Is that not the opposite of what you would expect? Wisdom does come with age, at least in most cases, and older people generally feel more content with their proximity to the end of their life. Older generations also tend to be more religious and more devout than their younger counterparts. Do you see a correlation?

Everything that we have from God. He created heaven, earth, and us. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to breathe beside us, teach us, and eventually die so that we may be forgiven. We must honor this sacrifice, for we are only alive because of it. We have been offered a chance at salvation, at resurrection, and have all witnessed the life of Jesus that proves this covenant to be true. Christ was dead unto sin and it should be all of our aims as well.
PRAYER
Merciful and forgiving father, deliver me from evil. I ask that you assist me in avoiding the temptations and sins of the world, so that I honor our relationship.
O Lord, make the meditation of my mind and heart and actions that everything I will do going forward will be to thy Glory.
Grant me the Grace to be faithful and bless me father Lord in all aspects of my life.
May your name be praised forever.
Hallelujah

THROUGH THE TRIALS

*James 1:1-27 (KJV)*

*James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.*
*My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;*
*Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.*
*But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.*
*If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.*
*But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.*
*For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord.*
*A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.*
*Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:*
*But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.*
*For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.*
*Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.*
*Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:*
*But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away from his own lust, and enticed.*
*Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.*
*Do not err, my beloved brethren.*
*Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.*
*Of his own will begat us with the word of truth, that we should be the kind of first fruits of his creatures.*
*Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:*
*For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.*
*Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.*
*But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.*
*For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:*
*For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.*
*But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.*
*If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.*
*Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.* Amen

People tend to think that trials are a bad thing. When Christians are faced with they tend to think that it is the end of the world. We carry scowls on our faces and we believe that God has forsaken us in our time of need.

In the word of God, Jesus assures as time and time again that we will face diverse trials, tribulations, and temptations. For as long as we are on the earth, the enemy will try to get us to doubt God, to resent God, and to denounce our faith in Him. He will throw all kinds of challenges and painful moments our way, in hope that we will abandon ship and turn to the ways of the world for assistance.

Trials and tribulations can be very painful things for us to go through. Most times, we find ourselves begging God to remove us from the troubles we face. There are times where it may seem like we won't survive what we are enduring. We cry. We gnash our teeth. We have sleepless nights. Even when we try to be strong, our strength fails and we find it hard to get out of bed.

These moments happen. The Christian life is not all sunshine and roses. There are many moments where it will feel like we are being punished for choosing to follow God.

But what we don't see in that moment is as we are carried through these tough times, with God's strength, our characters are developing. Trials and tribulations are able to burn of the excess baggage we need to remove from our lives. The Bible speaks of all things working together for the good of those who love God. We can see that within the context of trials and tribulations. God never causes us to suffer. But when we are faced in moments of great pain, He turns things around and makes sure that we come out unscathed and much stronger than we initially are.
*PRAYER*
There is nothing on the face of this earth that we will face and God has not equipped us for. Sometimes it takes a little bit of searching to find that resolve to carry on.
But eventually we find it. And the next time we are faced with similar trials or tribulations, we are more confident , and experienced because we know God will help us out of them all
Again.
May the Grace of God continue to be with us all.
Shalom

*SAFETY IN THE NAME OF THE LORD*
*Matthew 14:28-36 (KJV)*
*And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.*
*And he said, Come. And when Peter came down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.*
*But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.*
*And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?*
*And when they came into the ship, the wind ceased.*
*Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.*
*And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.*
*And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;*
*And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.*
This verse brings me back to my childhood. When I was a kid, I was often fearful in the night and needed the comfort of knowing that I was not alone. I doubted it in the moment, sometimes think that my family had abandoned me, unable to sleep, thinking that evil was lurking in my closet or outside my door. I would call out to my mom and dad, and their presence would immediately sooth me, and I could go back to sleep upon this reassurance.

There is something special about the comfort that comes from a confident voice that you know and love. Peter had a relationship with Jesus that was similar to my relationship with my parents. In his time of doubt, he calls out to Jesus, scared that he will sink into the water. Jesus, of course, does not abandon him, just as my parents never abandoned me when the monsters in my closet were lurking. With a slight touch and a few words, Peter's heart is soothed.

Although doubt crept slightly into Peter's heart in the verses following these two, there is one aspect of this verse that shows how special a disciple Peter was. When Jesus walks on water and commands Peter to do the same, what is Peter's response? What would your response be? "I don't think so!" "I am not a great swimmer!" "Let another person try first." Not with Peter. "Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water." When Jesus asks him to walk on water, Peter tries to walk on water. If only we could be so obedient! But, my friends, we can!

How does Jesus call you in your life? Search your feelings, look within your heart; are you pulled in one direction or have a feeling that you cannot quite shake without explanation? Go in that direction! Christ is calling you to action, and as was the case with Peter, do not doubt him! Christ will be waiting there for you, with an outstretched arm to catch you when you doubt him. If you start to sink, it is because you have chosen to look at the fearful wind and water, as Peter did.
*Prayer*
Focus on God, Focus on Jesus Christ, focus on the scriptures and cast out doubts you hold within yourself. You can do better! As I learned as a young boy that one day parents would leave me, and I would have to fend for myself. Even as our parents are with us. But our father the Lord will never abandon us. The lord is always ready for us.
Even when the winds, storm challenges and terrible times come the lord will be with us.
We must continue to believe in the name of God and cling to the father. If we feel that we are sinking as Peter was and he calls on the lord for rescue, may the grace of God speak for us.
It is my prayer today that the lord's mighty hand of Glory will come upon us today.
May the divine Encounter of God come through for us.
May our Testimonies be released now in the name of God the father, son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
*Hallelujah*

*IT IS FINISHED*
*John 19:30 (KJV)*
*When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.* Amen

The death of Jesus marks the fulfillment of the covenant of God. The history of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, lead to this exact moment. "It is finished." What exactly is finished?

Do not forget why Jesus lived and died. God sent him to earth so that we could be saved. We must remember what his sacrifice represents. God only forgives us because of the death of his son. What is the tone with which Jesus said these words? It can be interpreted several ways, and I have certainly interpreted them differently based on how I am feeling.

Do not make the mistake of placing your own feelings in Jesus. We can never understand what Jesus was going through or feeling at this time. Jesus knows that the promise that God made to us so that we would have a chance at eternal life, had come true. All of humanities sins were washed away at that exact moment. All of our guilt was imputed to Jesus instead of us. These are not the broken words of a tired and pained Jesus surrendering to death. I feel that these are triumphant words knowing that the covenant has been fulfilled, that humanity has been saved. It is a cry of obedience, of the Son to the Father.

How do we take this message and apply it to our own lives? Do you think that your journey is finished as Jesus' was at this moment? Jesus knew that at that exact moment, his entire existence had an exact purpose and that it was finished. What an example that is for us to follow! Through our own faith we must also pledge a similar obedience. I hope and pray that with my last breaths I can humbly and honestly say the same words to God, knowing full well that my life's purpose was complete.
*Prayer*
Know that Jesus' life is finished. He lived and died so that one day we could utter the same words, Hopefully. It is finished, thanks to God.
Therefore in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the holy Spirit I move by faith and declare the following:

Transformation Glory covers us all.

Hebrews 4:15
For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
*Inspiration*

Sometimes we look at Jesus’ perfect life and become even more discouraged over our struggle with sin. After all, we can never match Jesus’ perfection. How can his example help us? It helps us because he is no stranger to our struggle, and his victory over temptation has opened the door for us to receive his mercy. And by his grace, He makes the power of his perfection available to us, too.
*Prayer*

Jesus, thank you for living a perfect life and dying a perfect death for me. I am unable to overcome sin on my own, but your grace and mercy have made a way for me. Empower me to lean on your perfection in all that I do, so that I may live in your grace and be prepared to stand in the face of temptation. Amen.
Hallelujah.
