STAUNCH PRESBYTERIAN AND FORMER IGP RETIRED, PAUL TAWIAH QUAYE LAID TO REST
A State Burial has been held for Inspector General of Police (Rtd), Mr. Paul Tawiah Quaye at the Forecourt of the State House on Saturday, 6th June 2026.
Leading the government delegation was the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye delivered the sermon to eulogize the service and integrity of the noble stateman who was a proud Presbyterian.
Also in attendance was the Chairperson of the Ga Presbytery, Rev. Col. David Adoteye-Asare, Chairperson of the West Akyem Presbytery, Rev. Raymond Baah Abekah and some Lay Representatives of the General Assembly Council.
The late IGP Retired, until his demise, worshipped with the PCG, Resurrection Congregation - Accra Central, which was well represented by the Agents and members led by the District Minister, Rev. Reuben Lamptey Gaskin.
Glowing tributes from close relatives, colleagues and friends were read to celebrate the selfless service of Mr. Paul Tawiah Quaye, notable among them was the tribute by the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno and the Ghana Police Service.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
