*HOLY BEFORE GOD*

5th September, 2026

*READ: Ephesians 1:1-14*

According as he hath CHOSEN US in him BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, THAT WE SHOULD BE HOLY and without blame before him in love:

*Ephesians 1:4*

Before the foundation of the world, God had planned that you will be holy. To be holy means to be special. God’s plan for you to be unusual and special is nothing new.

Before the earth had been formed, God had planned for you to be His special servant. Do not run away from your calling to be holy. Holiness is a special grace from God. Purity is not an evil thing. When you are holy you are saved from being animal-like. You are saved from being filthy and dirty before the Lord. Accept your calling to be holy.

God is looking for people that are blameless. It is your destiny to be blameless. To become a bishop, you must be blameless. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church, preached the doctrine of perfection. He urged Christians to attain to the highest standards. Of course, no one can attain those heights but it is your duty to aspire for the blamelessness to which you are called.

Your purity and holiness must be practiced before God. Righteousness is relative to the person who prescribes the rules. Human beings have different standards and rules of what they call righteousness.

Some people consider wearing trousers a sin whilst others wear bikinis without even considering that they have sinned. These are all human standards, which vary greatly. It is important that our holiness and blamelessness is practised before Him (i.e. in the presence of God) in love. It is God who must approve your righteousness and blamelessness!

It is God who sets the standards. Once you are holy and perfect before Him, you are okay. Jesus gave us His standards. Listen to the standards of Jesus and you will never go wrong.

*STRONG WARNINGS*

4th September, 2026

*READ: Acts 20:28-38*

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

*Acts 20:29*

Paul was not a novice. A novice does not know that he will be accused. A novice assumes that people will appreciate all that he has done for them. Paul, on the other hand, expected many of his church members to turn into grievous wolves after his departure.

1. Paul knew that it was important for you to take care of yourself, even though you are taking care of the flock.

2. Paul knew that some of the members were wolves, even though they appeared as sheep.

3. Paul knew that it was important to warn the people of the evil to come. Without strong warnings, the people would go astray.

4. Paul knew that the word of God was the main thing. Paul knew that the survival of the church depended on how much they stuck to the word of God. Paul did not trust in monuments or buildings that he had put up. He trusted the word of His grace.

5. Paul knew that disloyal, treacherous and deceptive men would arise and say negative things, hoping to draw people unto themselves and form their own groups.

6. Paul knew that people would accuse him of stealing money so he mentioned specifically that he had not taken or desired anyone’s silver or gold. He knew that he had to show to people how he sustained himself because they were full of suspicion.

7. Paul knew that he needed to be practical and work with his own hands if he wanted to be successful in ministry. A novice does not know that he must work with his own hands.

8. Paul knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. A novice thinks that it is more blessed to receive than to give.

SUPERNATURAL POWER

2nd September, 2026

READ: Luke 13:10-17

And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Luke 13:12-13

God’s power is stirred up when you call those things that are not as though they are.

Stir up the gift of God by calling those things that be not as though they are. God calls those things that are not as though they are. Jesus activated the power of God by speaking the word of faith to the woman. He said, “Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity” (Luke 13:12). In other words, it has already happened. You are set free!

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” (Romans 4:17).

Faith calls those things that are not as though they are. You must therefore call those things that are not as though they are. If you want to please God in your ministry, you must learn to minister to people by calling those things that are not as though they are.

Stand over problems, difficulties and wickedness of devils and call those things that are not as though they are. Stand over the ugliness inflicted by the devil and call it beautiful. Stand over the devastation wrought by demons and declare restoration. Stand over the barrenness, the emptiness and the wilderness which satan has produced and declare that it is a fruitful field. Stand over the parched, dry and desolate ministry and call it a place of abundance, growth and increase. You will stir up the gift of God by calling those things that are not as though they are. The power of God will be stirred up as you call those things that be not as though they were.

*PAUL’S ESCAPES*

31st August, 2026

*READ: 1 Corinthians 10:1-15*

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

*1 Corinthians 10:13*

There were times Paul would escape from cities at night. It was wise to run away at night so that’s what he did.

And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

Acts 17:10

There were other times where he would leave his team behind and disappear so that they would catch up with him later.

And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.

Acts 17:14

There were times he applied his Roman citizenship to his advantage. All these were acts of wisdom to help him fulfil his ministry.
But Paul said unto them, they have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? Nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

Acts 16:37

On another occasion, Paul personally circumcised his disciple to prevent a crisis from arising if he was seen in the bathroom. Remember, that it is this same Paul who had resisted Peter’s attempt to have Titus circumcised because it was against their faith. It seems that Paul personally circumcised Timothy. Imagine that Paul became a surgeon just as an act of wisdom.

Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek: Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium. Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

Acts 16:1-3

Pray for wisdom to find and use escape routes, which will keep you fulfilling your ministry.
