Programme Highlights
The Ablekuma Prayer Camp hosted the maiden edition of KRATOS, the Area Monthly Prayer Meeting, on Friday, 2nd October 2026. The programme was a powerful gathering centred on prayer, worship, the Word and an earnest desire to experience the manifest power of God.
The programme was moderated by Ps. Felix Zii-Seshie, with intercessory prayers led by Ps. Jeremiah Adotei Pappoe. The congregation was led into an atmosphere of praise by Gideon Ntumy, followed by worship led by Ps. Samuel Feyinka.
The worship sessiin drew inspiration from Psalm 34, with the congregation encouraged to seek and experience the goodness and power of God.
Opening Address
The opening address was delivered by Aps. Kingsley Addai, who reflected on the Scripture given during the welcome service, Exodus 34:10.
The Scripture served as a reminder of God's willingness to do extraordinary things among His people and established the foundation for the prayer gathering.
Launch of KRATOS
The maiden edition of KRATOS was officially launched by Ps. Samuel Feyinka, Chairman of KRATOS.
The programme's powerful declaration was captured in its slogan:
KRATOS! — The Power of God!
KRATOS!! — The Power that Raised Jesus from the Dead!
KRATOS!!! — Will Be Manifested Today!
The declaration set the tone for a night of expectation and faith in the supernatural power of God.
Ministration
The congregation was blessed through ministrations by Minister Jack Alolomi and Elder Dr. Akwasi Mireku, and other members of the liquid church creating an atmosphere of worship, reflection and spiritual expectation.
A significant emphasis was placed on the power of songs in the worship experience. The congregation was reminded that songs can be sermons in themselves, communicating truths about God and strengthening the faith of His people.
Sermon: The Power of the Resurrection
The sermon was delivered by Aps. Kingsley Addai on the theme “The Power of the Resurrection.”
He began by drawing attention to the historical account of Evangelist Hayford, described as the first ordained evangelist of The Church of Pentecost. Born in 1904, Evangelist Hayford reportedly heard about the power of the Holy Spirit in 1937 and sought to experience that power personally. By the time he was baptised in water, he had already received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
Aps. Addai recounted an incident in 1946 when Evangelist Hayford and his prayer team encountered a group of people chanting and calling upon spirits. He introduced the fire of God into the situation, and as the group sang and drummed, the Holy Spirit came upon the people who had initially been involved in the spiritual activity.
The account was used to demonstrate the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and the supremacy of God's power.
“You Shall Receive Power”
Referencing Acts 1:8, the congregation was reminded of Jesus' promise:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you...”
The message emphasised that the coming of the Holy Spirit brings divine power—power to confront situations, transform lives and accomplish the purposes of God.
Aps. Addai further highlighted the account in Acts 3, where Peter and John encountered the lame man at the Beautiful Gate. Instead of offering him money, Peter introduced him to a power greater than material wealth—the power of Jesus Christ.
The congregation was reminded that there is a power that is above every other power.
The Four Types of Power
The sermon introduced four expressions of power referenced within the Jewish understanding:
1. Dunamis — Miraculous Power
This refers to supernatural power that produces extraordinary results.
2. Energia — Physical and Moral Stamina
This speaks of the strength to endure difficult circumstances, as demonstrated by Job in the midst of his trials.
3. Ischus — Strength to Remain Focused
This is the strength that enables a person to remain steadfast and focused despite challenges.
4. Kratos — Resurrection Power
KRATOS was presented as the power of resurrection—the completing, overcoming and domineering power of God.
The congregation was challenged to seek not merely human strength but the resurrection power that comes from God.
Testimonies of the Manifestation of God's Power
Aps. Addai shared testimonies intended to illustrate the manifestation of God's power in extraordinary circumstances.
One account involved Apostle F. D. Walker, who encouraged some fishermen in Marcel City, Monrovia, to attend church. After the service, he accompanied them to their fishing grounds, prayed with them and encouraged them to cast their nets. They reportedly returned with a boatload of fish.
Another testimony recounted how Apostle F. D. Walker prayed for a three-year-old child who had drowned and had been underwater for more than an hour following an accident. After prayer, the child was reportedly restored to life and handed back to the mother.
These testimonies were shared as reminders of the limitless power of God and the importance of faith in His ability to intervene in seemingly impossible situations.
The Power That Raised Jesus from the Dead
The central message of KRATOS was that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is still relevant to the believer today.
The congregation was encouraged to wait upon God, just as the disciples waited for the promised Holy Spirit. When they waited, the power came.
The emphasis was therefore not simply on seeking an experience but on becoming vessels through whom God's power can bring transformation to individuals, families, communities and difficult situations.
Prayer
The sermon concluded with a prayer led by Aps. Kingsley Addai, as the congregation sought the manifestation of God's power in their lives and circumstances.
Conclusion
The maiden edition of KRATOS – The Area Monthly Prayer Meeting provided a significant platform for the church to come together in prayer, worship and expectation.
The message of the evening was clear: there is power in God that is greater than human strength, wealth, opposition or circumstance.
As the church continues with KRATOS, members are encouraged to cultivate a deeper hunger for the Holy Spirit, remain steadfast in prayer and position themselves to become vessels through whom the power of God can be manifested.
KRATOS! The Power of God!
KRATOS!! The Power that Raised Jesus from the Dead!
KRATOS!!! Will Be Manifested!
