Presbyterian Minister's Children

Presbyterian Minister's Children This page is to help bring together all Presbyterian Ministers' children under one umbrella to serve as a support group and also to fellowship.

We as children of Reverend Ministers recognise that we have our own challenges and we also recognise that we are actually part of our Parents ministry. We, therefore, pledge to stand by them in both difficult and joyous moments as long as the good Lord gives us breath. We recognise the complex nature of the ministry in today’s world and we want to play our part by interceeding for them in prayers.

The PCG Ministers’ Children Fellowship aims at bringing together all of us your children – old and young, but especially, the young – to encourage one another to consciously support one another to respond competently to the rather daunting challenges of the manse and contemporary societies. We hope, in the end, to manage successfully, the great pressures that the, sometimes, unrealistic expectations of parishioners bring upon us on account of our being minsters’ children. The fellowship has the following objectives:
• Being an example to believers
• Providing both spiritual and physical support for our parents’ ministry
• Correct misconceptions people have about ministers’ children
• To establish networks to support one another in various endeavours and circumstances
• Mobilise ministers’ children for these objectives and other relevant purposes when the need arises. It is our plea to you to encourage our sisters and brothers who are not yet participating in our programmes to begin to show interest. We are convinced that in an increasingly complex world networking is an important capital to take advantage of.
