MORNING GLORY
By Apostle James Nii-Aponsah

Topic: THE NEW WINESKINS

“And no man putteth new w**e into old bottles: else the new w**e doth burst the bottles, and the w**e is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new w**e must be put into new bottles” Mark 2:22

The advent of the Lord Jesus Christ brought another dispensation into the world. The New Covenant had commenced, although it was fully ratified by His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord Jesus Christ in the text above revealed to the people that they cannot pour the Spirit of the New Covenant into the Old Covenant of the law. It is important for us to understand the tenets of the New Covenant referred to as the New W**e and become grounded and rooted in them. Another insight we can glean from this text is that we were born in sin because the sin nature was passed on to us (Romans 5:12). But while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). God, by His grace, saved us and made us new in Christ Jesus. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold all things are new". Christ's death and resurrection made all things new.
Dear friends, it is worth noting that the old man cannot carry the new things of God. The old nature cannot contain the new w**e. God wants to pour new w**e into our lives, but He needs new containers. He wants to give us new experiences, new assignments, new grace, and new dimensions in Him. Therefore, we must allow Him to renew our minds and transform our lives. We cannot hold on to the old life and expect to carry the new things of God. New w**e must be put into new w**eskins.
May the Lord make us new containers, prepared to carry what He has in store for us, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
Blessed day to all. Cheers.

MORNING GLORY
By Apostle James Nii Aponsah

Topic: Awake

"Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean." Isaiah 52:1

To awake means to wake up from sleep, become conscious, alert, and ready for action. There are times when a person may be physically awake but spiritually asleep. Spiritual sleep is a dangerous condition because it makes us insensitive to the things of God, unaware of the devices of the enemy and unable to fully appreciate what the Lord is doing at any given time. The Scripture says, "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light" (Ephesians 5:14). We cannot accomplish much while we remain spiritually asleep. We must arise from every form of spiritual laziness, complacency, fear, and indifference and begin to walk in the light of God's Word.
Dear friends, God's call to awake and put on our strength is a reminder that His strength is available to us. We should not continue to live as weak and defeated people bereft of power when the Lord's strength is available to us. We must put on the strength of the Lord through prayer, the Word of God, faith, and obedience. We must also put on our beautiful garments, which speak of a life of righteousness, holiness and honour before God. This is a season to arise and take our rightful position by awakening to our responsibilities and the opportunities God has placed before us. When we awake, we shall see clearly, discern properly, and accomplish the purposes of God for our lives.
May the Lord awaken every dormant thing in us. May God give us grace to arise in strength to fulfil our divine calling and assignments in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Blessed week to all. Cheers.

MORNING GLORY
By Apostle James Nii-Aponsah

Topic: Sacrifice

“Neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing.”
2 Samuel 24:24

There are times when God requires something from us that is not convenient. Sacrifice is not always easy because it involves giving up something valuable for the sake of God and His purpose. David had the opportunity to offer to God what had been given to him freely, but he refused. He understood that an offering that cost him nothing could not truly represent the sacrifice he desired to make unto the Lord. He therefore said, “Neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing.”

Beloved, true sacrifice comes with a cost. Sometimes the sacrifice may be our time, our comfort, our resources, our plans or our willingness to serve even when it is not convenient. The widow in Mark 12 gave only two mites, but Jesus recognised the sacrifice behind her giving. She gave out of what she had. Above all, we see the greatest example of sacrifice in Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us. He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8). Let us therefore not only ask what God can do for us, but also consider what we are willing to give for the sake of His kingdom. May the Lord give us a heart that is willing to sacrifice for Him and His work.

I pray that the Lord will give us grace to offer unto Him sacrifices that are pleasing in His sight, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Blessed weekend to all. Cheers

MORNING GLORY
By Apostle James Nii-Aponsah

Topic: Overcoming the Spirit of Fear

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18.

Fear basically is to perceive a danger, either real or imagined. It is a negative emotion that can hinder us from obtaining our goals. As humans we are comfortable about the things we have control over but anytime we don't seem to have control, we are tempted to become afraid of the unknown. As such, we become jittery, worried and full of anxiety. That is why the text above is saying, "fear" is a torment.
Dear friends, it is important for us to know that there are many things we cannot have control over, but the good news is that God is always in control. That is why we need to surrender our lives to Him and trust in Him. He has promised us in Isaiah 41:10 that; "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Let us continue to believe that the Lord is with us and He's on our side. The Bible says God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). By our God we will leap over the walls and run through every troop.
May we be free from the torment of the spirit of fear and trust in the Lord at all times in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Blessed day to all. Cheers.

Topic: The Lord He is God

"And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God." 1 Kings 18:39

Whenever Christians face challenges and some contrary wind begins to blow, our faith becomes challenged. We begin to even doubt the power of God to save and deliver us. In such moments its important for us to be resolute in our faith and become fully persuaded that our God is able and there is nothing too hard for him to do. The children of Israel departed from the worship of the true God and were caught up in the worship of Baal. To them, Baal was powerful to meet their needs and to solve their problems. God sent Prophet Elijah to announce to them and to demonstrate his power for all to know that he is indeed the Almighty God who is able to meet their needs.

The 450 prophets of Baal called upon their God, and there was no response, and their sacrifices could not be consumed by fire. The God who is able sent forth his fire to consume the sacrifice offered in His name. The people gathered became fully persuaded that the Lord God is God, as captured in the text above. Dear friends, this is the time for us to hold on to the living God and become fully persuaded that He is God. Let us refuse to be tossed to and fro in our walk of faith in Him.

May the Lord confirm His Word in our lives and manifest His Glory for us to know that He is God in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Cheers.

MORNING GLORY
By Apostle James Nii Aponsah

Topic: Action Faith

"And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine." 1 Samuel 17:48

Many Christians have been taught to meditate in the Word of God and to declare the Word of God at all times. The truth however is that we can do all the meditation and declarations but if we do not act upon the Word of God, our faith is incomplete. The book of James teaches us that faith without works is dead. We should show our faith by our works. The book of James cited the example of Rahab who took in the spies sent by Joshua and hid them from the soldiers sent by the King. Also the example of Abraham, the man of faith who took his only son Isaac to be sacrificed on the Mountain of Moriah (James 2:21-26).
It is important for us to constantly believe the Word of God and act upon it. The word says we should give and it shall be given back to us. We must believe and start to give by faith. Again when we believe the word of God that says that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, then we need to move by faith even after taking our medications. Dear friends, we are doing ourselves a lot of disservice if we keep declaring and meditating upon the Word without acting upon the Word of God. As we put our faith in action, we shall experience great miracles.
May the Word of God fill our hearts and may the Lord confirm His Word as we continue to act on the Word in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Blessed day to all. Cheers

MORNING GLORY
By Apostle James Nii Aponsah

Topic: The Grace of God

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." Romans 16:24

Grace can either be defined as receiving an unmerited favour or divine enablement. In the first instance we were lost in sin and darkness. We were alienated from God and Satan had absolute control over us (Ephesians 2:1-3). The Lord Jesus Christ came and delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and brought us into His marvelous light (Colossians 1:13). That is what Grace is all about. We did not deserve it but God did it for us. Another insight into Grace is when we have come to our wits end and suddenly God steps in to provide the needed blessing to meet our desires. Some may call it a miracle, breakthrough or testimony but that is Grace at work. Those who have understood the workings of Grace and have depended on it have done great exploits for the Lord and for themselves.
Dear friends, God has promised to make His Grace abound towards us and we shall have sufficiency in all things and we shall abound unto every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). God's Grace will help us to forgive when we find it difficult to do so. His Grace will enable us to receive answers to our prayers. His Grace will help us everyday to fulfill our divine calling, purpose and assignments.
Let us continue to depend upon His Grace and move by faith to do great and notable accomplishments for our God in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Blessed week to all. Cheers
