But without faith it is impossible to please God and God rewards those who diligently seek Him.. Hebrews 11:6... For my quiet time today, still on Faith I looked at this verse.. Anytime I hear or read this verse it draws my mind back to the fact that my christian is a life of faith. Let's look at it from this angle, the Bible talks of a God and His Son, gives vivid description of who they are, what they came to do and how They lived their lives, in an era when even my great grandmother wasn't born. My christian life requires that I accept who they are, believe their every word and live my life according to it without being present at that time to confirm whether or not everything written about them and all that they said were really true..This fits perfectly into Hebrews 11:1; where faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, meaning believing though we haven't seen. Thus if I have faith that Christ indeed came to die and was sent by His Father to purge me of my sins and to bring me salvation and by so doing I accept Him as Lord of my life, though I didn't see him die literally with my two eyes, then God is pleased. Likewise, whatever God has promised me in His word, though I have just read them and haven't seen Him before and haven't even seen them happen before as described in the bible and I hold on to Him and believe that it will happen just as His word confirms, He is pleased, and because He is pleased and He sees that though I don't see Him, I diligently which means with all seriousness seek Him with all my heart to obey Him, then He will reward me. Our Christian life is one of faith, when we learn to walk and live by faith God is ever pleased. I can never be a Christian who pleases God's heart if I don't have FAITH.. FAITH is that one thing that puts our christian life into perspective and makes it worth our living..
So today, what steps are you taking to work on your faith? God is ever ready to help you, you only have to ask.. Amen and night night
