I don’t understand why people hold others in their hearts. Isn’t that more trouble than simply loving them? You see them, and you become angry. You want to avoid them or take another route just because they are there. Oh, my brethren, your heart is too small to carry hatred. Let love have the space instead.

This is what the love of God will do: it will cause you to pray for your enemies. Jonah wanted Nineveh destroyed, but God wanted them saved. God loves the sinner, though He hates the sin.
So when you pray for your enemy to die, remember they are also loved by God. Don’t pray for their destruction; pray for their transformation.

This is the litmus test to know whether what you are doing is truly born out of love: that you should not have the desire to broadcast it or seek the praise of men. Be careful when you always want acknowledgment from others because you did something for them. It is right for people to appreciate and thank you, but it should not become something you expect or desire.
True love does what is right without seeking recognition.

What will take us to Heaven? What will cause the gates of Heaven to be opened to us? Love. Look at Matthew 25:33–41. In these verses, Jesus shows that the way we treat others matters to Him. When we demonstrate love, kindness, and compassion toward people, we are expressing the love of God through our lives.
When we love others, we are sowing the love of God.

Look at Galatians 5:22–23. It says “the fruit” of the Spirit not “fruits,” even though many qualities are listed. That reminds us of how important the first one is: LOVE. Love is at the heart of the fruit of the Spirit and should be evident in the life of every believer.

How will you be identified as a child of God? John 13:34–35 makes it clear: by walking in love. Jesus said that our love for one another would show the world that we are His disciples. So, brothers and sisters, let’s get real about this love thing. Love must be seen in how we treat people, forgive, serve, and respond to one another.

And again, love is mentioned, reminding us of just how powerful and important love is in our Christian walk. Love is not optional; it is at the heart of who we are as believers.

Let us look at what truly makes us spiritual. Speaking heavily in tongues does not automatically mean you are spiritual. No, no, no! You may have faith, prophecy, great spiritual gifts, or give to the poor but without love, you have nothing.
All these powerful things mean nothing without love. Please, let us love, because love is the ultimate goal.

We will all enter eternity, yes, but where we spend eternity is determined by how we live and our relationship with God. Malachi 3:16 reminds us that God has a book of remembrance for those who fear Him and honour His name.
