LET YOUR THANKSGIVING PRECEDE YOUR MIRACLE 🙏🏽

Our LP, Pastor Ebenezer Serebour, taught us that thanksgiving must become more than a response to what God has done—it must become a lifestyle of faith.

From Luke 17:11–19, we were reminded of the ten lepers who received healing, yet only one returned to give thanks. The miracle was experienced by all ten, but gratitude distinguished the one who recognized the source of his blessing. We were challenged never to become so familiar with God’s goodness that we begin to treat His blessings as things we deserve.

From John 11:41–42, we saw Jesus give thanks before Lazarus came out of the grave. His thanksgiving preceded the manifestation. This is the posture of faith: thanking God not only for what He has done, but for what we trust Him to do.

We were also reminded through 2 Samuel 6 that David’s gratitude was not restricted by his position. He danced before the Lord with all his might because he understood the value of God’s presence. True thanksgiving requires humility, recognition, and an awareness of God’s goodness.

Our lives are filled with reasons to give thanks—the gift of life, health, family, provision, opportunities, relationships, protection, and even the simple ability to wake up and breathe. What may appear ordinary to us may be the very miracle someone else is praying for.

Thanksgiving changes our perspective. It turns complaints into praise, entitlement into appreciation, and expectation into faith.

So we thank God for yesterday, we praise Him for today, and we trust Him for tomorrow.

Don’t wait for the miracle before you become grateful. Let your thanksgiving go ahead of you. 🙌🏽

“Father, I thank You that You have heard me.” — John 11:41

Our Lay Pastor Ebenezer Serebour, ministered powerfully on the subject of Favour, reminding us that God’s favour is the divine advantage every believer needs to rise above life’s struggles and walk in His purpose.

Drawing from Nehemiah 2:1–8, we learned that Nehemiah first found favour with God, and in God’s appointed time, that favour was reflected before the king. What seemed impossible became possible as doors were opened, resources were released, and God’s assignment was accomplished. We were reminded that favour before men begins with favour in the sight of God.

From Luke 1:28–30, we also saw that Mary found favour with God and was entrusted with a divine assignment. This teaches us that God’s favour is not merely for our comfort or promotion, but to position us to fulfil His purpose and bring glory to His name.

May we continually walk in obedience, remain faithful to God, and live in a way that attracts His favour, knowing that when His hand rests upon us, no obstacle can hinder the fulfilment of His divine plan.

“For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield.” — Psalm 5:12 🙏🏽

The Light Temple Revolution Choir led us into a glorious atmosphere of praise and worship, where chains were broken, hearts were lifted, and the presence of God filled the room!

Every note, every harmony, every sound was a declaration that Jesus is Lord over all!

On Sunday, Min. Charles Kwarteng taught us on the biblical principles of giving, drawing from Malachi 3:10 and reminding us that giving is far more than an act of generosity—it is an act of worship, obedience, and faith in God.

We learned that acceptable giving begins with the condition of the heart. God delights in those who give willingly, joyfully, and not out of compulsion. We were also challenged to intentionally teach the next generation the value of generosity, ensuring that the culture of giving becomes a lasting legacy of faith.

Just as a farmer sows in expectation of a harvest, every gift offered to support God’s work is a seed that carries the promise of divine increase. Yet, the message went beyond giving within the church. We were encouraged to make generosity a daily lifestyle, extending God’s love through acts of kindness, compassion, and practical support to those around us.

When we give with cheerful hearts, we reflect the nature of our Heavenly Father and become channels through which His blessings flow to others.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7 🙏🏽
