DON’T THROW IN THE TOWEL YET

2 Kings 7:1–10

God is in the business of doing good, if only we can avail ourselves. There is a God who hears prayers and answers them. This is clearly seen in 2 Kings 7:1-10, the story of the lepers who were cast out.

The whole city was in hunger after the attack from the Arameans. Yet, God chose to use the lepers, men who were rejected and considered insignificant to bring deliverance. Whoever you are, God can use you to preach the message. When the good news came, they were eventually allowed to come in and spread it.

Let us prepare to go out there with boldness, preach the message, and allow God Himself to work through it. When the lepers took a step, the Arameans presumed it to be the sound of speeding chariots and galloping horses. We have the advantage to go out in faith. God sent His only Son to save humanity. That is the message we want to share.

God will cause signs and wonders to follow the message that we preach. As the lepers stepped out, signs and wonders followed them, and the message reached the people of Samaria. They said, “This is not right… we must go out and tell.” The good news must be shared, and you and I are called to do that.

The Lord will use you to transform others and bring them to Him. He will take residence within us, and when we move, He moves with us. Where there is a will, there is a way. When we accept Him, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is with us.
