A moment of Grace, Honour, and Fraternity.

On Sunday, 18th January 2026, His Grace Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, paid an Episcopal Visit to Prince of Peace Catholic Church. In his honour, the Knights of St. John International, Prince of Peace Commandery #832, and Ladies Auxiliary #690, with the support of brothers and sisters from sister commanderies and districts, mounted a dignified and colourful Guard of Honour Parade.

It was truly a beautiful parade and a solemn ceremony reflecting our commitment to service, discipline, and the Holy Mother Church.

29th July 2022..... A date written deep in memory, never to be forgotten!

Today marks two years since we lost a remarkable father and an extraordinary individual. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. We remember him today and always, cherishing the memories and values he instilled in us. His spirit continues to guide and inspire us every day.

LENTEN BREAKFAST: PRINCE OF PEACE KSJI COMM 832 & AUX 690 FEASTS PARISHIONERS

On Sunday, March 10th, 2024, the premises of Prince Of Peace Catholic Church in Kwashieman echoed with the sounds of friendship, fellowship, and the beautiful smiles as the Prince Of Peace Commandery #832 & Ladies Auxiliary #690 of The Knights Of St. John International hosted the parish community for breakfast dubbed the Lenten Breakfast.

This cherished event, steeped in tradition and spiritual significance, not only provided nourishment for the body but also fed the soul, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.

From the moment parishioners stepped through the doors after Holy Mass, they were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. Volunteering brothers and sisters greeted each guest with smiles and open arms, setting the tone for a morning filled with connection and unity. As families and friends gathered to have breakfast in a simple atmosphere, the sense of community became evident, transcending barriers of age, background, and status.

The menu, meticulously curated to reflect the spirit of Lent, featured an array of wholesome dishes designed to both satisfy hunger and inspire reflection. From savory omelets, to sandwiches, Koose with Hausa Kooko, Hot chocolates through to Coffee and Tea beverages amongst others, every item served bore the mark of love and dedication from the talented members who are professional caterers and volunteer chefs for the day and who generously lent their skills to the cause.

But beyond the delectable fare, it was the spirit of giving and selflessness that truly defined the success of the Lenten Breakfast. Numerous volunteering members including Cadets and Juniors, and even some parish youth, worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every detail was attended to with care and precision. Whether it was setting up tables, serving food with grace and efficiency, or cleaning up afterwards with quiet humility, each contribution played a vital role in the seamless ex*****on of the event.

Moreover, the Lenten Breakfast served as more than just a meal; it was a sacred opportunity for reflection and spiritual renewal. It also served as an avenue to

1. To encourage parishioners to extend their stay and actively participate in the scheduled Day Born Meetings and Engagements.

2. To cultivate our brand identity and strengthen the presence of KSJI POP within our community.

3. To ignite a fervent Membership Drive through meaningful engagement and dialogue with our fellow parishioners.

Throughout the event, attendees were engaged in meaningful conversations about the noble order, encouraging them to join the train and be seen in participation of the core tenets of the order i.e. Unity, Charity, and Loyalty.

As the last crumbs were swept away and the echoes of our joy faded into the distance, the success of the Lenten Breakfast lingered in the hearts and minds of all who had participated. It was a testament to the power of community, the strength of faith, and the transformative impact of coming together in service of a greater cause.

In the end, the true measure of success was not in the number of meals served or funds raised, but in the bonds forged, the lives touched, and the spirits lifted. As Commandery #832 & Auxiliary #690 of Prince Of Peace Catholic Church in Kwashieman looks ahead to future endeavors, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose and gratitude, knowing that our collective efforts have made a meaningful difference in the world around us.

For in the breaking of bread and the sharing of fellowship, we have found not only sustenance for the body but also nourishment for the soul.

May the spirit of the Lenten Breakfast continue to inspire and uplift all who partake in its grace, both now and in the days to come.

PRINCE OF PEACE KSJI COMM 832 & AUX 690 DONATES GHS 10,000 TO THEIR PARISH

"Embracing the spirit of compassion and community, The Prince Of Peace Commandery #832 and Ladies’ Auxiliary #690 of The Knights Of St. John International have made a generous contribution of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS 10,000.00) to the Prince Of Peace Catholic Church. This heartfelt donation is dedicated to supporting the construction of a transformative multipurpose Building facility named in honour of the pioneering missionary priest who laid the foundation of our cherished Church.

Named the Rev. Fr. William Zijlstra Building, this visionary project represents a beacon of hope and progress for our parish and the wider community. It will stand as a testament to our commitment to spiritual enrichment and social empowerment.

At the heart of this endeavour lies a state-of-the-art Infirmary, a longstanding aspiration of our Local Commandery & Auxiliary. Alongside, an Adoration Chapel will provide sanctuary for spiritual contemplation, while a community Library will foster education and knowledge exchange, benefiting the Prince Of Peace Basic School and our neighbours alike. Additionally, a dedicated study area and E-Learning centre will serve as a hub for academic growth and collaboration.

Inspired by the profound impact this 4-in-1 multipurpose complex promises, our Local Commandery and Auxiliary have resolved to wholeheartedly support the church in realizing this noble vision. Our initial donation marks the beginning of a concerted effort to raise funds through a series of engaging events and initiatives as part of our 10th Anniversary Celebrations in 2024. From lively car washes to innovative sales campaigns and Local levies, we are committed to rallying support for the betterment of our church and community.

Together, let us embark on this journey of compassion and progress, as we build a legacy of kindness and generosity for generations to come."
