On Tuesday, 30th December, 2025, members of the ward participated in a memorable temple visit marked by deep reverence and spiritual renewal. The visit was especially significant for new members who had the sacred privilege of entering the temple for the first time, a moment filled with gratitude and quiet joy.

During the visit, several members received their own endowments, while others participated in sealing ordinances that strengthened eternal family bonds. Youth and adults alike also engaged in baptisms for the dead, serving on behalf of ancestors and extending the blessings of the gospel beyond the veil. The day was a powerful reminder of the temple’s central role in bringing individuals and families closer to Jesus Christ and reinforcing faith, commitment, and unity among ward members.

On Sunday, 15th June 2025, the Abeka Ward came together in love and fellowship to celebrate members born in the month of May. The celebration took place immediately after church service and was filled with smiles, music, laughter, and heartfelt connections.

The event, organized by the ward leadership, featured a beautiful cake cutting, singing of birthday songs, and the sharing of refreshments. Members gathered to express their well wishes, take photos, and enjoy the sense of unity that comes with celebrating one another.

This monthly tradition continues to strengthen bonds among members, reminding all that they are remembered, valued, and cherished within the Lord’s fold. It was a simple but meaningful occasion that left the May celebrants and all who attended feeling uplifted.

On Saturday, 21st June 2025, members of the Abeka Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints embarked on a meaningful community service project, cleaning major drainages in the Abeka area. The initiative, held in collaboration with the local Assemblyman and the Municipal Assembly, was part of the ward’s efforts to follow the Savior’s example by serving others and improving their environment.

The project began at 7:00 AM, with enthusiastic participation from members, including youth, Relief Society sisters, and elders of the ward. They came equipped with cleaning tools such as shovels, wheelbarrows, brooms, and gloves. Notably, the Municipal Assembly supported the exercise by providing key logistics, including extra cleaning equipment and waste disposal support.

As drainages were cleared and waste removed from the streets, many passersby expressed gratitude for the gesture. The ward members also used the opportunity to strengthen community relationships and foster goodwill among residents.

Bishop Francis Baidoo Jnr, who led the activity, emphasized the importance of translating gospel principles into action. “We are not only here to preach the gospel but also to live it by serving those around us,” he remarked.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of unity and accomplishment, leaving both the streets and the spirits of participants refreshed.

April Borns Celebrated with Joyful Birthday Party

Immediately following the baptismal service on Sunday, 11th May 2025, the Abeka Ward gathered to celebrate the birthdays of members born in April. The event was filled with joy, laughter, and love as friends and family came together to honor the celebrants.

A beautifully decorated cake was shared, accompanied by cheerful singing and heartfelt well-wishes. The celebration strengthened unity and fellowship within the ward, creating lasting memories for all in attendance. It was a wonderful way to conclude a spiritually uplifting day.

Primary Children Enjoy Fun-Filled Excursion to Achimota Zoo – Saturday, 10th May 2025

On Saturday, 10th May 2025, the Primary children of the Abeka Ward embarked on an exciting excursion to the Achimota Zoo. The day was filled with joy, learning, and adventure as the children explored the variety of animals and learned about wildlife in a fun and interactive environment.

Accompanied by teachers and leaders, the children had the opportunity to see animals they had only read about in books. The outing provided not only a refreshing break but also an opportunity to appreciate God’s creations.

The excursion strengthened friendships among the children and created lasting memories. It was a day of fun, laughter, and discovery
