This activity, work and labour called prayer is one of the greatest things you can do for God and for man.
Cameron V. Thompson, the author of book titled "Master Secrets Of Prayer" said, "Prayer is spreading out of our helplessness and that of others in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ before the loving eyes of a Father who knows and understands and cares and answers. Prayer is the breathing and panting of the spirit after God. It is taking hold of the willingness of God rather than an overcoming of His reluctance".
God is looking for men and women who will pray. Men who will sacrifice movies for prayer, women who will sacrifice entertainment for prayer. Men and women who will spend time in prayer. Those who have left the deepest impression on this sin cursed earth have been men and women of prayer, says E.M Bounds. The earth will fade away but prayer grasps eternity.
Prayer is man's highest privilege yet his greatest responsibility. It places in our human hand God's Sovereign power. Prayer, genuine prayer is the most powerful act a creature of God can perform.
Prayerlessness is one of the greatest harm and damage we can cause the soul, because it leaves it untrained, powerless and weak. Souls will perish, more suicides, more darkness will cover the earth, more rebellion, more wickedness will abound, more wars, more calamity, more deaths, more bloodshed. More darkened minds, more blinded hearts, more territories will be taken by the devil when we fail to pray.
God needs more men on the praying field. There are too many lukewarm and idle believers on the dining table while the devil is gradually gaining grounds. Would you be a part of God’s army by taking your place in prayer?
To not pray is to give up on God, His kingdom and humanity. To not pray is to sell your authority and access. To not pray is to deliberately ignore what concerns God and His heartbeat. To not pray is risky- the body of Christ loses more while the devil gains more.
Zacharias Tanee Fomum says, The sin of prayerlessness is worse than the sin of adultery. It sends more people to hell and advances Satan’s kingdom more than all the other sins put together. It requires deeper and more thorough repentance than any other sin.
Every believer must return to their prayer closet... It must be daily, sincere, heartfelt and fervent.....Nothing should come between consistent your communion with God.
