Lasting results don’t just happen — they are products of continuity.
A very great start is important, but it is continuing well that guarantees and sustains results. Good results are powerful, but lasting results are always the best (Genesis 26:13).

Lasting results cannot exist where continuity is not ensured — harvest is never guaranteed where there is discontinuation.

God does not expect us to draw back, but there is always the possibility that we might (2 Peter 3:17). The issue with many people is not starting; the issue is continuity. And the reason is simple — most people lack discipline. And where discipline is absent, completion becomes impossible.

So what does it actually mean to draw back?

A Great Start!
The word great is often used to describe the size or value of a thing. But in the light of this subject, we are not looking at the size but rather the value. The focus should be how well you are starting the year with God, not how big you start the year.
Not everything that is great is valuable. What is a great start?

A great start simply means starting well and starting right. It can also be defined as having a right foundation. If your foundation is bad, your end will be bad. Without a right foundation, there cannot be a right completion. The guarantee of your future is laid on the foundation you lay today (Matthew 7:24).

People don’t fall accidentally; it is because their foundation is not right. The greatest stability of a building comes from the foundation.
Every new year is a new opportunity to do things well and to do things right. You need to make your new year a new one. You ought to start well.How do you start well?

Psalm 65:2 : O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.
The God whom we serve is not just a talking God, but also a hearing God.
He is not a deaf God, He talks and hears.
Beloved, what does it mean when we say God hears?
Firstly, it means that God listens attentively to what you say. He pays attention and takes note of every detail of your prayer. Nothing you say in His presence is ignored or overlooked.
If you pray and do not receive an answer, it is important to check how you pray. Sometimes, by reason of capacity or readiness, a response may be delayed, but it does not mean God did not hear.

Secondly, it means that God listens with the intention of responding or acting. Just as we act on the Word of God, God acts on our prayers. Prayer is what triggers divine intervention.

Knowing that God hears you stirs your motivation to pray and strengthens your confidence in approaching Him.
If you’ve ever wondered how God responds when we pray, this message sheds light on it.
