Pastor Percy Nii Tackie-Otoo Bows Out of Active Service After 23 Years of Meritorious Service
Pastor Percy Nii Tackie-Otoo, a minister of The Church of Pentecost, has bowed out of active service after 23 years of meritorious service to God and His Church.
A retirement service was held in his honour on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Emmanuel Assembly of The Church of Pentecost, Chorkor-Santana.
The service brought together church leaders, ministers, officers, family members, loved ones, and members of the Church to celebrate and honour Pastor Tackie-Otoo for his dedicated service to the Lord and His people.
The service was conducted by Pastor ACP Moses Animah, Acting District Pastor of the Chemunaa District. Speaking on the theme “Serving God to the End,” Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Neukpe, who delivered the sermon, based his message on Jeremiah 45:1–5 and Mark 10:28–30. Apostle Neukpe, drawing lessons from the life of Baruch, the loyal companion and scribe of the prophet Jeremiah, emphasised the importance of remaining faithful to God’s assignment regardless of one’s background, privileges, or personal aspirations.
He noted that Baruch had the opportunity to pursue personal interests, yet he remained committed to Jeremiah’s ministry. He therefore encouraged believers to remain steadfast in their service to God and to pursue their divine assignments faithfully until the very end, regardless of the challenges and sacrifices involved.
The service also featured heartfelt tributes and testimonies celebrating Pastor Tackie-Otoo’s years of ministry and impact. Elder Benjamin Allotey, Secretary of the Chemunaa District, presented a testimony on behalf of the District, highlighting Pastor Tackie-Otoo’s contribution to the growth and development of the District.
Similarly, Pastor Ben Noye, New Mamprobi District Pastor, shared a testimony on behalf of the Dansoman Area. Representing the General Council of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Agyei Kwafo, Ho Area Head and Executive Council Member, also paid tribute to the retiring minister and celebrated his commitment and service to the Church.
In a powerful moment during the service, Apostle Amos Jimmy Markin, Cape Coast Area Head and Executive Council Member, declared prophetically while praying for Pastor Tackie-Otoo: “If God can keep Nii Tackie-Otoo, He can keep us.” The declaration resonated deeply with the congregation as a testimony to God’s sustaining grace throughout Pastor Tackie-Otoo’s years of active service.
Earlier in the service, Apostle Emmanuel, Director of the Evangelism Ministry, led the congregation in prayer, committing the retirement and the next phase of Pastor Tackie-Otoo’s life into the hands of God.
The profile of the retiring minister was read by Pastor Paul Mahama, Glefe District Pastor, after which Apostle Dr Dieudonne Komla Neukpe presented Pastor Tackie-Otoo with his Certificate of Service in recognition of his 23 years of dedicated service to God and The Church of Pentecost.
The service was attended by Apostle Daniel Danso, Director of the Counselling Ministry; other Apostles, Pastors and their wives; church officers; members of the Chemunaa District; as well as family members and loved ones of Pastor Tackie-Otoo.
The retirement service was a fitting celebration of a remarkable season of ministry, sacrifice, and commitment.
As Pastor Percy Nii Tackie-Otoo bows out of active service, the Church celebrates not merely the completion of 23 years of ministry but also the faithfulness of God who sustained him throughout the journey.
