Morning Message of Motivation

Recovery: 28

Barnabas and Paul had a longstanding relationship with John Mark who came from a Christian home and his mother’s house was open to the apostles of Christ.
Peter went first to John Mark’s mother’s house after his miraculous release from Herod’s prison.
Acts 12:12 NKJV
”So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying.”

John Mark began serving Barnabas and Paul when they were prophets and before they became apostles.
Acts 12:25 NKJV
“And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their ministry, and they also took with them John whose surname was Mark.”

The Holy Ghost called them later into apostleship.
Acts 13:2a NKJV
“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them….”

Apostle Paul and Barnabas chose John Mark again to serve them on their apostolic missions.
Acts 13:5 NKJV
“And when they arrived in Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.”

John Mark abruptly abandoned the apostolic work and went home.
Acts 13:13 NKJV
“Now when Paul and his party set sail from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.”

Barnabas wanted to forgive John Mark and take him on their second missionary journey but Paul disagreed leading to a separation.
Acts 15:37-39 NKJV
“Now Barnabas was determined to take with them John called Mark. But Paul insisted that they should not take with them the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus;”

However John Mark continued to be faithful until he later recovered favour before Paul.
Colossians 4:10 NKJV
“Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, with Mark the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him),”

Paul later confessed that John Mark was useful to him.
2 Timothy 4:11 NKJV
“Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.”

May you increase in favour with God and with men. May men of kingdom power favour you, in Jesus name.

Recovery: 27

A very necessary prerequisite for recovery from a setback or adversity is a stable mind. Many cannot recover from setbacks because they become confused or depressed.
The Psalmist proclaimed that even if he is shaken, he will not be greatly moved.
Psalm 62:2 NKJV
“He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved.”

People who are overcome by negative emotions such as sorrow, anger, disappointment etc will struggle to recover for anger makes a man act foolishly.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 NKJV
“Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools.”

To be still is to be calm and at peace.
Psalm 46:10 NKJV
“Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”

Those who trust in the Lord will be like Mount Zion.
Psalm 125:1 NKJV
“Those who trust in the LORD
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.”

David faced a dilemma because his men decided to stone him, because of excessive grief but David encouraged himself in the Lord.
1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV
“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.”

As he became still, he prayed and received guidance and wisdom to rescue all their captive families.
1 Samuel 30:8 NKJV
“So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?”
And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

David recovered all, and even extra.
1 Samuel 30:18-19
“So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.”

May you experience an uncommon peace in the midst of battles. May you recover all you lost, in Jesus name.

Recovery: 26

To recover effectively one must endeavour to avoid severe damages spiritually, physically and mentally.
Bones are the supporting structure of the body, so our Lord Jesus ensured that none of His bones were broken on the cross.
John 19:32-33 NKJV
“Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.”

The preservation of Christ’s bones was in fulfillment of Scripture.
John 19:36 NKJV
“For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.”

The Philistines stripped Samson of his dignity and blinded him but very crucially they couldn’t stop his hair from regrowing.
Judges 16:21-22 NKJV
“Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison. However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven.”

So long as Samson had long hair he had the potential to be strong again, he just had to pray.
Judges 16:25 NKJV
“So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said, “Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars.”

Samson prayed in remembrance of his covenant purpose.
Judges 16:28-29 no go NKJV
“Then Samson called to the LORD, saying, “O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!”

Samson acted in faith and recovered his great strength.
Judges 16:30 NKJV
“And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.”

May you not be greatly moved and may you maintain your structure. May you recover strength by prayer, in Jesus name.

Morning Message of Motivation

Recovery: 25

In many instances, recovery occurs gradually and progressively over a period of time.
Some healings take time to manifest fully like the rich man’s son.
John 4:46-47 NKJV
“So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water w**e. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.”

Jesus replied by exposing the flaws in this rich man’s faith, because he had a philosophy that wanted to see proofs before he believed anything.
John 4:48 NKJV
“Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”

With his son so critically sick, the man was now desperate and he was no more interested in his own philosophical arguments.
John 4:49 NKJV
“The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”

Jesus gave him a miracle but He did it in such a way that He would correct the man’s wrong thinking.
John 4:50 NKJV
“Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.”

The man met some folks from his house who shared the good news that his son was healed.
John 4:51-52 NKJV
“And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”

After comparing the time Christ gave him the word with the time of the testimony of his servants, he became a true believer.
John 4:53 NKJV
“So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.”

May you wholeheartedly believe God’s word as it is written. May you see many miracles, in Jesus name.

Remarkable Callings: 2

Our God is from everlasting to everlasting and He is always the same.
Our God chooses whom to use according to His own wisdom so He chose Moses even though Aaron was older and more vocal.
Exodus 5:13-14 NKJV
“But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send.” So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.”

Moses’s mission was unique in all prophetic ministry because he was sent to liberate a nation that was enslaved within another nation.
Deuteronomy 34:10-12 NKJV
“But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, in all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land, and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.”

Moses’s call was very remarkable and miraculous.
Exodus 3:1-3 NKJV
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian…..And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”

Moses was called on a holy ground.
Exodus 3:4-5 NKJV
“So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.”

May you enjoy supernatural encounters, as you go to church.

Recovery: 24

The wrong imaginations of men can impose a limitation on the good things that men must do for you.
Christ’s disciples pleaded urgently on the behalf of a centurion.
Luke 7:2-4 NKJV
“And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die. So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving,”

A blind man also needed a miracle but there was no one to plead for him, but rather Christ’s greatest disciples argued about his sins.
John 9:1-2 NKJV
“Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

This man’s sin however
was not the cause of his ailment.
John 9:2-4 NKJV
“Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Jesus then began to use His own saliva and mud to form a mixture to anoint the blind man’s eyes.
John 9:6 NKJV
“When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”

Later on he faced great persecution, but it went nowhere because he was a living witness of Christ’s life and power.
John 9:30-31 NKJV
“The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes! Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.”

May Almighty God be moved with compassion towards you and heal you. May you receive God’s best, in Jesus name.

Morning Message of Motivation

Recovery: 23

Some people end up in places they don’t want to be because they have sown bad seeds and the results are catching up with them.
In such cases universal laws appear to catch up with men.
Galatians 6:7-8 NKJV
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

Men can yet recover by deliberately sowing good seeds to create a good harvest in their future.
Galatians 6:9-10 NKJV
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

Zacchaeus was a rich man but seemed to have accumulated some of his wealth by shady dealings.
Luke 19:1-2 NKJV
“Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich.”

Zacchaeus wanted a new life through Jesus Christ.
Luke 19:3-4 NKJV
“And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.”

Zacchaeus received a great blessing that was far greater than his original hope which was simply to see Jesus.
Luke 19:5-6 NKJV
“And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.”

His past shady deals threatened to destroy his moment but he chose to sow new seeds of restitution.
Luke 19:7-8 NKJV.
“But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”
Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”

Zacchaeus fully recovered from his past sinful life.
Luke 19:9-10 NKJV
“And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

May you have grace to repent and sow seeds of restitution. May you have far more than you expected, in Jesus name.
