MUSICIAN XPLOSION COLLECTION (20 HOUR DVD COURSE)

"Introducing Musician Xplosion... The Course That's Going To Explode Your Church Playing Forever!"

The most comprehensive gospel music program yet... 10 Musicians. 20+ Hours.10 Gospel Styles. 12 Keys.

STYLES COVERED
* Worship - This encompasses slow songs and chord progressions usually performed during the opening Praise and Worship parts of the service.

* Shouting - In charismatic churches, this is the high praise moment of the service and often musically associated with uptempo bass runs, looping patterns, rhythmic riffs and fill-ins, and more.

* Transitional / Talk - This is filler music often used underneath a
speaker (church/pastor announcements) to preserve the flow of the service.

* Traditional / Hymns - This encompasses hymns and sacred songs often performed by the entire congregational during various parts of the service.

* Preacher Backup - During charismatic sermons, this is the climactic ending that usually involves more excitement in speech and tone, accompanied by organ and/or piano.

* Offering & Fellowship - These are exciting parts of the service that get the congregation in a joyful mood.

* Occasional Music - These are less reoccurring events like communion, baptismal, anniversaries, and annual events that require special song selections.

* Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) - Common in modern churches, this style of music features more major-sounding chords and progressions and less traditional movements covered in other dimensions. Songs include "Lord i Lift Your Name On High," "Here I Am To Worship," and others.

* Wildcard - While this isn't an official dimension, during wildcard
segments, musicians could cover anything they wanted. This includes special grooves, miscellaneous parts of the service, or one of the previous
dimensions.

This is the most comprehensive program and you're sure to walk away with a wealth of knowledge, information, and techniques to take your playing to the next level.

BONUSES
Bonus #1: Ultimate Musician Xplosion Midi File Collection (over 50 files!)

Bonus #2: Ultimate Musician Xplosion Backing Track Collection (over 50 files!) "Practice with our bass player and drummer as if they were sitting right there with you!"

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
It's for anyone who feels stagnant in their playing. If you've been playing the same chords and progressions for years and can't seem to break out of your old patterns, this course will introduce you to new ideas and concepts that will change the way you approach the songs and parts of the service you may already play and enjoy.

If you're not yet versed in the dimensions of the service, it will
introduce you to professional chords and progressions that will allow you to skip the amateur level and learn the insider information the pro's use to catapult their playing to higher heights.

"PLAY THAT AGAIN" SERIES (INSTRUCTIONAL DVD)

This piano instructional series focuses on the real-life application of chords, scales, substitutions and licks. It's one thing to learn "textbook-style" piano techniques, but it's another thing to actually apply modern piano techniques used in every day music.

Join Bjay Brown, as he takes us on his musical journey from simple songs like the "ABC" song and "I LOVE YOU", to his riveting rendition and remix of "Say Yes", which we've re-titled it to simply, "SAY WHAT???" There are several other songs that he has used to demonstrate how to effectively play modern chords and substitutions; including:

"ABOVE ALL", originally by Michael W. Smith; "HE'S ABLE", made famous by Deitrick Haddon, Darwin Hobbs and William Murphy; the all-time classic hymn, "I SURRENDER ALL"; the Contemporary Christian Music ultimate, "INDESCRIBABLE", by Chris Tomlin and made famous by Kierra Sheard; the popular praise and worship song, "LIFT YOUR NAME ON HIGH"; and even more popular in worship, "I LOVE YOU". Bjay even took the time to give us bonus footage of "TALK MUSIC", if you're not familiar with that term, it is basically a random movement of chords and passing chords that are tied together to make an unbelievably amazing song, that really isn't a song - you'll have to hear and see it to believe it!!!

"Play That AGAIN" Series INCLUDES:

* 3 HOURS OF (*COMPLETE) 1080p HD VIDEO FOOTAGE

* HIGH DEFINITION SLOW MOTION AUDIO & VIDEO FOOTAGE OF EACH PERFORMANCE

* PIANO MIDI FILES FROM EACH PERFORMANCE

* PLAY-ALONG mp3 TRACKS AND SOLO PIANO mp3 TRACKS

* BJAY'S EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW

GOSPEL PIANO BOOTCAMP (ESSENTIAL GOSPEL PIANO CONCEPTS)

The Gospel Piano Bootcamp covers 14 HOURS of video content, as well as written text/books, for beginner to intermediate gospel pianists/keyboardists who want to grasp the essential concepts of gospel piano. Do you want to improve your playing dramatically? Are you frustrated with learning the piano because you don't understand the core concepts that govern the songs you want to play?

Over the years I have talked with several of people who want to play gospel piano for their church or music group. Many try to learn but stop very fast because of the frustration that comes with learning the instrument. They want to improve their playing dramatically. However, all they ever get from others are a bunch of song breakdowns and scattered concepts but struggle with the essential concepts of playing gospel piano that they needed to work on.

Their goal is to get to a point where they don't have to beg other people and struggle to learn songs but to have the tools to break those songs down for themselves. Their question is “what should I practice? Well, that's where the Gospel Piano Bootcamp steps in!

What YOU are going to get from this course?

- Over 100 lectures and 14 HOURS of content!
- Scales (Major, Minor, Blues)
- Chords (Types of chords, Inversions, Progressions)
- Number System (Diatonic Chord Theory) -This is the system I use to breakdown every song I learn, to play devotions by ear, back up soloist & preachers.
- Movements (Chromatic, Fourths, Whole Tone, Thirds)
- Embellishment Strategies (Grace Notes, Flares)
- Style (Traditional, Contemporary)
- Situations (Talk Music, Preacher Chords, Shouts)

Darrell Cook, the instructor on this bootcamp is an a pianist and organist that has been playing gospel, jazz, and neo-soul keys for over 15 years. Throughout the years he has shared the stage with CeCe Winans, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise and several others.

The Instructor, James Wrubel is classically trained at one of the most widely-known musical institutions in the country and has superior knowledge and application needed to shine while performing with both the award-winning student orchestra under Los Angeles Philharmonic Concertmaster Alexander Treger as well as some of the top jazz musicians around the globe!

* Week 1 - "Getting Started With Licks"
Welcome to week #1. In this intensive class, James is going to introduce you to "runs" and show you a popular one you can play over multiple chords. He's also going to cover altered dominant chords and why they're so important.

* Week 2 - "Endings I: Easy Ways To End In Style"
Welcome to week #2. Many musicians can play but can't stop a song very well. In this intensive class, you'll learn the famous Count Basie ending, the use of #11, and one of the most common descending #11 licks in jazz. Enjoy!

* Week 3 - "A Crash Course In Bebop #1"
Welcome to week #3. In this lesson, James gives you a crash course in bebop. You'll learn about the history of bebop, three bebop scales and articulations to master, two awesome-sounding "2-5-1" progressions, and 3 hugely important licks every great pro knows. Have fun!

* Week 4 - "'Flat 9' And Other Altered Chord Secrets"
In this week's session, James shares everything you need to know about how "b9" (flat 9) chords and licks function and how they are used. You'll also review the harmonic minor scale, 3 "b9" licks, and a great pattern used in Latin Jazz. Have fun!

* Week 5 - "Mode Workout"
In this week, you'll discover the 6 most important modes (Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Aeolian, Mixolydian, Lydian), how to use them and avoid the worst notes, and how to start instantly improvising.

* Week 6 - "A Crash Course In Bebop #2"
Welcome to week #6. Warning: This video is jam-packed! James returns to the bebop concept to flush out your knowledge and reviews major scale harmony, minor, major, and dominant 7th chord voicings... and 5 must-know "2-5-1" licks. Enjoy!

* Week 7 - Minor Chord Mastery (Part 1)
In this first of 2 lessons of minor chords, James reviews minor 6, minor 6/9, minor/major 7th, and minor/major 9th chords. You will learn left and right hand voicings and arpeggiations to sound your best. Upper structures (right hand triads or chords to put over your left hand voices) will be very important. This builds a wealth of variety and choices into your playing.

* Week 8 - Static Chords I
Lots of players can play changes but one of the things that signals the strength of a player is what he or she does when a chord is held. Here, you'll review the melodic minor scale, two different common "walkdowns" descending pattern over minor chords, and applications of the melodic minor scale over various chords! Have fun!

* Week 9 - Minor Chord Mastery (Part 2)
Welcome to week #9. Returning to minor chords, James focuses on two-hand chords for Cmin7, Cmin11 and 13, common patterns, and a "stacked fifth" voicing that will enrich your sound.

* Week 10 - Fourth Chords Explored
Fourth chords (or "stacked 4th chords") are an integral part of the modern and contemporary jazz sound. James teaches min6/9, dom 7, and sus chords in 4ths. Your playing will never sound the same! These were some of the biggest developments in the history of jazz harmony. Enjoy!

* Week 11 - Chord Changes To Satin Doll
James teaches you the best tips and tricks to play down the first section of a common jazz standard. Click here for youtube performance of song

* Week 12 - Exploring Major 7ths & Alterations
Similar to the lesson on minor chords, now we turn to major 7ths and related alterations like maj7 #11, maj7 #5, maj7 #9 #11, as well as right hand upper structures, scales, and modal applications. Let's get to work!

* Week 13 - Diminished Workout #1
Diminished chords are some of the easiest chords to alter but many players struggle with them. This is another area that defines you as a good player; otherwise, non-altered diminished 7th voicings make you sound boring and straight out of a 1920s silent movie. James shows you diminished triads and chords, 5 important left hand voicings, and 3 diminished scales... breaking down everything into digestible chunks to make you sound better than ever before.
