*CALLED TO FOLLOW*

*_16 “And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 Then Jesus said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.’ 18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.”_*
*📘Mark 1:16-18📘*

_Brethren, I trust you're fine. Good morning, and may God bless you for your commitment to studying His Word. Please come along as we learn._

In this passage, we see Jesus calling Simon, also known as Peter) and his brother Andrew to leave their fishing jobs and follow Him. Jesus didn’t just ask them to walk with Him; He promised to change their lives. He said, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” This means that instead of catching fish, they would bring people to God. Jesus saw their potential, not just as fishermen but as people who could share His love and message with others. Following Jesus means letting go of certain things that might hold us back; our “nets.” For Peter and Andrew, their nets were their livelihoods, the jobs they relied on. But they left them immediately because they saw something in Jesus worth following. For us, our "nets" might be things like comfort, fear, or even habits that take our focus away from God.

Jesus calls us to trust Him and let these things go, knowing that He has a greater purpose for our lives. When Jesus calls us, He doesn’t just want us to follow Him in words but in action. Just like Peter and Andrew left everything behind, following Jesus often means making sacrifices. But when we respond to His call, He promises to transform us and use us in ways we could never imagine. Today, Jesus is still calling people to be "fishers of men." He wants us to help others know Him, just like He wanted Peter and Andrew to do. As we follow Jesus, we become part of His mission to reach others with God’s love. Let’s trust Him, leave behind whatever holds us back, and follow Him wholeheartedly, believing

*🟦HE WILL LEAD US TO A MEANINGFUL LIFE THAT BRINGS OTHERS CLOSER TO GOD 🟦*

*RUN WITH ENDURANCE.*

*_1 "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."_*
*📘Hebrews 12:1-2📘*

Beloved, I hope you're well. It's always a joy to listen to God's word. Please come along as we learn.

The Book of Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians who were going through suffering and persecution and were tempted to give up their faith in Jesus. In chapter 11, the writer lists the heroes of faith: people like Abraham, Moses, and Noah, who trusted God despite great challenges. Then, in Hebrews 12:1-2, the writer uses the picture of a race to encourage believers to keep going strong in their walk with God. Life is like a race. It is not a short sprint, but a long-distance race. In Hebrews 12:1-2, God tells us how to run this race well. First, we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. These are the men and women of faith who have gone before us. They are like people in the stands cheering us on. They remind us that it is possible to finish the race if we trust in God.

Second, we must lay aside every weight and sin. A runner cannot run fast if they are carrying heavy things. In the same way, we must remove things in our lives that slow us down; like bad habits, fear, anger, or anything that keeps us from serving God well. Third, we are told to run with endurance. This means we must keep going, even when life is hard. There will be times of pain and weakness, but we should not give up. Finally, we must keep our eyes on Jesus. He started our faith, and He will finish it. Jesus is our perfect example. He endured the cross and did not quit because of the joy that was coming. If we focus on Him, we will be able to finish strong.

*🟦CHILD OF GOD, LET US RUN WITH ENDURANCE AND NEVER TAKE OUR EYES OFF JESUS!🟦*

*BE STRONG IN THE LORD*

*_10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."_*
*📘Ephesians 6:10-11📘*

Beloved, I hope you're fine. Please come along as we take a bite of fruit.

The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Ephesians while he was in prison. He was writing to the believers in Ephesus to encourage them in their faith. In the last chapter, Paul gave a strong reminder that the Christian life is not just about blessings and peace, but also about spiritual battle. He knew the enemy, Satan, was always planning to deceive and destroy. So he told the believers to prepare themselves as if they were soldiers going to war. Paul begins by saying, “Be strong in the Lord.” This means we should not depend on our own strength. Our human strength is not enough to face spiritual battles. We must trust in God’s power, which is greater than any enemy. His strength never fails.

Next, Paul tells us to “put on the whole armour of God.” Just like a soldier needs armour to protect themselves in battle, Christians also need spiritual armour to protect their hearts, minds, and faith. Without God’s armour, we are weak and open to attack. The devil is full of tricks and lies. He tries to make us doubt God, fall into sin, or give up when life is hard. But when we are dressed in God’s armour, truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer, we can stand strong. We will not fall for the devil’s traps. We will not be afraid. God gives us everything we need to win the battle. Today, God is calling us to stand firm in Him. No matter what we face, temptations, trials, or fear, we must put on His armour daily and rely on His strength. Victory does not come from us, but from the Lord.

*🟦BE STRONG IN THE LORD, AND HE WILL HELP YOU OVERCOME EVERY CHALLENGE.🟦*

*BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART, CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH.*

*_10 "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.'"_*
*📘Romans 10:10-11📘*

Good morning child of God. I hope you're well. Please join us to study God's word.

The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans to the believers in Rome. Paul had never visited Rome when he wrote this letter, but he wanted to teach them the truth about salvation. In Chapter 10, Paul discusses how people are saved and what it truly means to believe in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:10-11 gives us an obvious message. It says that with our heart we believe, which makes us right with God. Then, with our mouth, we confess, meaning we speak out what we believe and that leads to salvation. Salvation is God’s gift of forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope through Jesus. Believing in your heart is not just thinking or agreeing in your mind. It means you trust in Jesus deep inside. You trust that He died for your sins, and you believe that He rose again.

You accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. When this belief is real, it changes your life. You begin to love God, obey His word, and live by faith. Confession means you do not keep your faith a secret. You are not ashamed to say, "I believe in Jesus." You speak it boldly at home, at school, at work, or wherever you are. Confessing Jesus means standing for Him in every area of life. Verse 11 gives us a great promise: "Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame." This means God will never let you down. If you trust in Jesus, He will cover you with His grace, protect your soul, and give you eternal life. So today, believe in your heart. Confess with your mouth.

*🟦AND KNOW THAT YOUR FAITH IN JESUS WILL NEVER BRING YOU SHAME. INSTEAD, IT WILL BRING YOU LIFE, JOY, AND PEACE FOREVER. AMEN.🟦*

*GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU*

*_5 "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with things you have. For He has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ 6 So we may boldly say: ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”_*
*📘Hebrews 13:5-6📘*

Precious One, I hope you're doing well. Welcome to a fresh week of rest. God will come through for you. Please come along as we learn.

The Book of Hebrews was written to Jewish believers who were facing persecution and hardship. Some were tempted to abandon their faith and revert to old religious practices. The writer of Hebrews encourages them to remain strong and faithful. In chapter 13, the final chapter, he gives practical advice on how to live as true followers of Christ. Life can be hard sometimes. We go through struggles, financial problems, fear, loneliness, rejection, and even pain from people we trust. But God’s Word reminds us that we are never alone. We're advised not to be obsessed with material things but to be content with what we have because, God is with us and will not let us be lonely. Hebrews 13:5-6 gives us a powerful promise: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” This means God is with us all the time. When friends leave us, He stays. When we are in need, He provides. When we are afraid, He gives us courage.

The scripture also tells us not to love money or always want more. Instead, we should be content with what God has given us. Why? Because God is our helper. He is all we need! When we truly believe that God is with us, we stop fearing what people can do to us. No man, no situation, no evil plan is stronger than God’s presence in our lives. That’s why we can boldly say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.” Beloved, in times of trouble, remember this promise. God is not like people who change or forget. He is faithful. He will never leave you in darkness. He will never forsake you when life gets tough. He walks with you, helps you, and keeps you strong. So today, hold on to this truth.

*🟦NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH, GOD IS WITH YOU AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU. AMEN.🟦*
