*Southern Zone YCW Ghana Gears Up for Vibrant 2026 International Women's Day Celebration*
The Young Christian Workers (YCW) Movement, Southern Zone Ghana, is set to mark International Women's Day 2026 with a spirited gathering themed around *"balance the scales,"* emphasizing justice, equality and empowerment in the spirit of faith and community.
Every year, the movement rotates hosting duties among its base groups, bringing together members for a full day of inspiring activities. These include Holy Mass, thought-provoking conversations on the theme and joyful socialization to foster unity and shared purpose. This year, St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Nii Boiman, Lapaz, will open its doors to welcome the entire Southern Zone on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
The event promises to unite around nine or more base groups representing diverse parishes across the zone:

Zonal President George Kojo Banson has called on all leaders to rally their members for active participation. "This is a special opportunity to honor our women and reflect on the scales of justice in our lives and society," he said. Host president Ernest Holiday echoed the excitement, assuring all militants of "another unforgettable experience" filled with spiritual renewal and fellowship.
