Balance the Scales is the official theme for International Women's Day 2026.It emphasizes achieving justice, equity and safety for women and girls by dismantling systemic barriers.

Balance the Scale highlight the need for a fairer justice system.

The theme addresses ongoing issues like unjust laws, policies and structural obstacles that prevent women from being heard and shaping their futures.

it's a promise for every woman and girl to feel safe and empowered. It calls for real action to transform systems, amplify marginalized voices and ensure equality as the norm, not exception.

Organizations interpret it broadly from providing dignity essentials to centering Aboriginal women's leadership in justice reform.

Lets catch up on Sunday,8th March 2026 for a panel discussion on the theme.

The Young Christian Workers movement of the Southern Zone in Ghana embarked on an exciting socialization trip on Sat.27th September 2025, making a memorable journey to Amedzofe to explore the rich cultural and natural heritage of the region while fostering meaningful connections among its members.

As part of their itinerary, the participants made a significant stop at the iconic Adomi Bridge, where they took the opportunity to capture photos and create lasting memories against the backdrop of this famous landmark. The bridge, known for its architectural beauty and historical importance, provided a perfect setting for the group to bond and energize before continuing their adventure.

The group then proceeded to experience the thrilling Amedzofe Canopy Walk, an elevated walkway that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Walking among the treetops, they admired the stunning scenery and enjoyed nature’s serenity. Following the canopy walk, the participants visited Ote Falls, a majestic waterfall that mesmerized everyone with its cascading waters and peaceful environment. The refreshing atmosphere around the falls allowed the group to relax and reflect on the importance of preserving natural resources.

Their journey culminated with a visit to Mountain Gemi, where the breathtaking landscapes and panoramic views provided a perfect opportunity for reflection and social bonding. The entire trip was filled with fun, laughter, and the joy of shared experiences.

Along the way, they met a diverse range of people, enriching their travel experience through cultural exchange and fellowship. Notably, they connected with the youth from St. Peter Catholic Church in Kotoku, Accra, which added a meaningful dimension to their networking and strengthened ties between different communities.

This socialization travel not only offered an adventurous break but also reinforced the spirit of unity, collaboration, and personal growth among the members of the Young Christian Workers movement in Southern Zone Ghana.

Sometimes, you need to travel not just to escape, but to reconnect with nature and unwind from the stress in your head. It’s about sharing meaningful experiences with like-minded people. It’s not always about saying "I don’t have time." Let’s connect with purpose like militants on a mission.
