Check Your Heart Before You Check the Supernatural

Jonah delivered God’s judgment to Nineveh , a violent, wicked city. Then they repented, and God forgave them.

“God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” — Jonah 3:10

but Jonah was furious. Not because God was wrong , but because Jonah knew God would forgive.

“I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful… and repentest thee of the evil.” — Jonah 4:2

Some of us are still checking someone’s status, still hoping their business fails, still holding a grudge disguised as discernment. That’s not wisdom. That’s wickedness , and it’s what’s blocking the supernatural in your life.

Jesus already settled this.

“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” — Matthew 5:44

“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” — Matthew 5:45

God forgave you when you were wrong. He can forgive the person who hurt you too , and He’s not asking your permission. Get on your knees and pray for the one you’ve been calling your enemy. Not because they deserve it, but because that’s what makes you a child of your Father.

Stop guarding the grudge. Let it go and watch the supernatural return.

“Don’t give up on your future. Don’t give up because you find yourself in the belly of the fish. No matter how bad the situation is, go into prayer. Learn to cry out. Ask others to pray for or with you..Even Jesus asked His disciples, ‘can’t you pray with me?’
If God could ask people to pray with Him, what are you doing trying to carry it all alone?”

Go on your Knees and Pray out of the Situation

Someone Needs to Be Praying With You , Not Just for You

Jonah was in the belly of a fish because of his own disobedience. But God didn’t leave him there. He cried out in prayer.

“Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly… I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me.” — Jonah 2:1-2

Even in Gethsemane, Jesus the Son of God asked His closest disciples to pray with Him, not just for Him.

“Tarry ye here, and watch with me… Could ye not watch with me one hour?” — Matthew 26:38, 40

If Jesus needed intercession, so do you. Stop managing your situation quietly. Stop scrolling through Instagram and TikTok in the belly of the fish, hoping it fixes itself. Cry out.

But be careful who stands with you.

“Elijah maketh intercession to God against Israel.” — Romans 11:2-3

Not everyone praying near you is praying for you. Some voices, even close ones carry words that work against your future, not for it. Guard who speaks over your life.

“I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Find those whose hearts are truly for you, and ask them plainly: pray with me. Not mutter beside you, agree with you.

“When I kept silence, my bones waxed old… I acknowledged my sin unto thee… and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.” — Psalm 32:3, 5

Stop being quiet in your storm. Go on your knees , cry out, and let God command your fish to let you go, just as He did for Jonah.

They said Lazarus was dead.
Jesus still called him sleeping, even at the tomb. He refused to change his confession to now call that which he said was sleeping dead.

“Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me… Lazarus, come forth.” — John 11:41,43

A fact is what’s happening. Truth is what God said.

Don’t confess the fact. Speak the truth, until you rest in it. 🕊️

God Does Not Forbid Bad Things, He forbids anything that goes against His WORD.

We say “God forbid” over everything uncomfortable, as if saying it makes it true. But look at Joseph, sold by his own brothers, falsely accused, thrown in prison. Was that good? No. Did God forbid it? No, Did God allow it? Yes.

“But God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Genesis 50:20

Just because things are bad doesn’t mean God does not have a purpose to make it end for your good.

Look at Job , Satan asked to touch him, and God permitted it, because a hedge doesn’t mean an easy life; it means a purposeful one.
What looks like a bad season isn’t proof that God has forsaken you or you’re walking in something he forbids. Sometimes it’s the very path He’s using to raise you.

You must understand the word of God for your life is beyond the good or the bad but grounded in purpose, born by his word

When you understand this, then you’ll be able to declare what David declared

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4

This is the assurance that you have that in all challenges of life…with God, you will find rest, that is the truth that sets you free from the bo***ge of fear!!

SPEAK THE TRUTH IN GODS WORD, NOT THE FACTS OF LIFE

Lazarus was sick. Jesus said, “This sickness is not unto death.” John 11:4

Lazarus died anyway. Buried four days. That’s the fact. But Jesus never changed His confession , He called it sleep, not death.

“Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.” John 11:11

A fact is what’s currently happening. Truth is what God has said. They are not always the same thing , and only one of them has the final word.

When Jesus got to the tomb, He didn’t pray for a miracle. He thanked the Father for already hearing Him, then simply said, “Lazarus, come forth.” No striving. Just standing on what He had already spoken.

Your mouth carries more authority than you realize.

“By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Matthew 12:37

“With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10

Whatever you’re facing , sickness, delay, lack, don’t confess the fact. Speak the truth God has already declared over you. Say it before you see it. Say it until you rest in it.

Don’t observe lying vanities and forsake your own mercy. Speak life, and hold that confession until it manifests.
