God Never Wanted Your Sacrifice. He Wanted You.

David prayed. David fasted. David followed every ordinance he'd been taught. And still, nothing changed.

"I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay." — Psalm 40:1-2

Then God finally spoke, and what He said shook everything David thought he knew.

"Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required." — Psalm 40:6

The very things Moses said God commanded, God said He never actually wanted. Not because the instructions were wrong, but because sacrifice without relationship was never the point. Religion had become a substitute for knowing Him.

"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things themselves, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect... For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins." — Hebrews 10:1, 4

So God did what the old covenant never could. He sent a body He was pleased with.

"Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me... Lo, I come to do thy will, O God." — Hebrews 10:5, 7

And through that one offering, He didn't just forgive you. He made you His son.

"God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." — Galatians 4:4-6

You are not a servant trying to earn His attention. You are a son who already has it.

"Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." — Galatians 4:7

Stop going through the motions hoping something finally works. Stop praying like a stranger begging a stranger's God. Come to Him as a son who already belongs, because that's exactly what the new covenant made you.

FROM THE CHRIST TO THE LORD

There's a question every believer needs to sit with honestly. You say you believe in Jesus. But do you know the difference between Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus Christ? Because heaven does. And that difference is not semantics. It's the whole foundation of your walk with God.

When Jesus came to Jordan and the Spirit descended upon Him, He became the Christ, the Anointed One. That's when the healings started. That's when the deliverance began. That's when He walked into the fullness of His assignment on earth.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant... and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." — Philippians 2:5-8

But the story doesn't stop at the cross. After He died, after He rose, God gave Him something even greater than the anointing. He gave Him a name.

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." — Philippians 2:9-11

That's when Jesus Christ became the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." — Acts 2:36

Here's what that means for you. Believing in Jesus Christ is where your salvation begins. But confessing Him as Lord is where your authority is released. There's a reason Paul didn't just say believe. He said confess.

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." — Romans 10:9

That name carries weight that sickness cannot stand against, that oppression cannot stand against, that fear itself has to bow to.

"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." — Proverbs 18:10

So stop settling for just saying "Jesus." Start confessing "the Lord Jesus Christ" over your life, your home, your health, your future. Because there is a difference in how darkness responds to a man who merely believes and a man who has come to know the Lord.

You Cannot Be Cursed, Mercy Has Covered You!!

A curse only works where belief gives it ground. If you are a son, not just a churchgoer, no curse has a legal claim on your life.

"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree." — Galatians 3:13

That's not theory. That's finished business. The curse was already paid for at the cross, so instead of praying long prayers against a curse, run into the kingdom you already belong to. It cannot reach you where you truly stand.

But if a pattern from your family line has left its mark, that's not a life sentence either. Mercy breaks what consequence would otherwise keep alive.

"Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy." — Matthew 5:7

You obtain mercy by showing it. Pay someone's debt they can't pay. Feed someone who's struggling. Forgive the one who wronged you , not because they deserve it, but because that's exactly what breaks generational weight off a family line.

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." — Hebrews 4:16

When you forgive, you're not excusing what they did , you're washing your hands of the matter and releasing yourself from carrying it. Holding on doesn't punish them. It keeps you tied to something Christ already broke.

And here's the part most people miss: forgiveness isn't for the other person. It's for you.

You Were Chosen Before the World Began

Before there was a heaven, before there was an earth, before anything was made, God had already chosen you.

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." — Ephesians 1:4

You are not an accident. You are not confusion. Before you were formed, God had already decided what you were made for , and everything since has simply been Him bringing that plan into being.

"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will." — Ephesians 1:5

Stop living off what other people show you, or what culture told you to chase. Stop measuring your life by someone else's ending. God has a specific purpose for you and it was settled before creation itself existed.

"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will." — Ephesians 1:11

You are running toward a reward you haven't fully seen yet, so don't quit before you see it.

"Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame." — Hebrews 12:2

Whatever you're facing right now, don't measure it by what it costs. Measure it by what it's producing. Stay faithful to what God called you to. He knew you before the world began, and He is not done with you now.

Check Your Heart Before You Check the Supernatural

Jonah delivered God’s judgment to Nineveh , a violent, wicked city. Then they repented, and God forgave them.

“God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” — Jonah 3:10

but Jonah was furious. Not because God was wrong , but because Jonah knew God would forgive.

“I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful… and repentest thee of the evil.” — Jonah 4:2

Some of us are still checking someone’s status, still hoping their business fails, still holding a grudge disguised as discernment. That’s not wisdom. That’s wickedness , and it’s what’s blocking the supernatural in your life.

Jesus already settled this.

“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” — Matthew 5:44

“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” — Matthew 5:45

God forgave you when you were wrong. He can forgive the person who hurt you too , and He’s not asking your permission. Get on your knees and pray for the one you’ve been calling your enemy. Not because they deserve it, but because that’s what makes you a child of your Father.

Stop guarding the grudge. Let it go and watch the supernatural return.

“Don’t give up on your future. Don’t give up because you find yourself in the belly of the fish. No matter how bad the situation is, go into prayer. Learn to cry out. Ask others to pray for or with you..Even Jesus asked His disciples, ‘can’t you pray with me?’
If God could ask people to pray with Him, what are you doing trying to carry it all alone?”
