Lay your burden on Jesus.

Persistence and faith.

The deity of Jesus.

Jesus’s miraculous works are proof of His deity. The people did not believe Him. They attempted to stone Him for saying that He is the Son of God. Yet the Scriptures cannot be altered (read John 10:31-30). Believe in Jesus and live for Him.

Turn to Jesus.

Here is the evidence. It authenticates who Jesus is and who the devil is — a thief and liar.

The devil — the father of lies.

Do you know Jesus?

John 8:12-47 details an enlightening, profoundly engaging dialogue between Jesus on one hand and the Pharisees and people on another, on Jesus being the Light of the world, unbelief, spiritual freedom, Abraham, and eternal life.

Christ spoke with authority from His Father. The people were confounded. They thought he was mad, divided opinion, demon-possessed, and up to making ridiculous false claims. This is the same thing some people of today think of those who preach Christ but we will not be perturbed by false notions.

Jesus came not to divide opinion but to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). He is the Light of this world. His Light cuts through darkness and leads to life (John 8:12). Unlike the devil, Christ is true and willing to help all who faithfully come to Him.

To all who knew, understood, believed, and received Jesus, He gave them the right to be sons of God (John 1:12). Do you know Jesus? Do you have Him as your Lord and saviour? You have the chance to accept Christ now and forever live for Him. Do that today.

Metaphorical "I am" statements of Jesus in John.

In essence, Jesus Christ, the Son of God; the Messiah, superintends over all things in life. He is life. Depend on Jesus. Fully commit to Him. If you do not have Jesus, you have no life.

1. I am the bread of life — John 6:35, 48, 51

2. I am the light of the world — John 8:12; 9:5

3. I am the door of the sheep — John 10:7, 9

4. I am the good shepherd — John 10:11, 14

5. I am the resurrection and the life — John 11:25
