Harvest for Christ Evangelical Ministries first started in 1995 at its current location, concerned with the salvation of the lost and the wide spreading of the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. As such, within the initial years, the Head Pastor was more dedicated to missions. He traveled within the Greater Accra, Eastern and Upper West Regions to bring the gospel to the people. There were a lot
of challenges, financial difficulties, cultural barriers and spiritual interference, yet the Lord kept us through. By the grace of the Almighty God, in the initial years of establishing the Church in Tabora, Accra, it also established at Abeka in Accra, Begoro and Nsawam in the Eastern region. Also, in the year 2000, the Head Pastor teamed up with Apostle Idoabasi, a missionary, and established about seven churches in the Wa-West district of the Upper West Region. First at Talewona, but now has the βmotherβ of those churches at Wechiau which is the district capital. Setting up these churches was faced with strong opposition at first, but with consistency, prayer and the help of God, they were gradually accepted and have become deep rooted in the communities where they have been established. Within the years, the Lord has empowered the Church to further establish branches in Akroso in the Eastern Region and added one more church in the Upper West Region, making eight churches there. We are currently in the process of establishing one in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region as well. Harvest For Christ Evangelical Ministries is not just passionate about the spiritual success of its members, but the wholesome growth both spiritually and intellectually; hence, HFC also has schools in three communities in the Upper West Region and plans to establish more.
