DAY 71 ๐ฅ HAPPY KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI - FRIDAY SEPT 4 ๐๐ฆ
Twi Hook: "M'adamfo, wo nim sษ Krishna baa wiase anadwo mu? ฦyษ anadwo a esum kabii, na Nyame baa sษ hann!"
My dear friend, do you know Krishna was born at midnight in deep darkness? God comes as light when darkness is thickest!
Today at HINDU MONASTERY OF AFRICA - ODORKOR, we are celebrating our own Krishna Murti (see photo - He is wearing blue-white cloth, playing flute for you!). This is not India Krishna - This is GHANA KRISHNA, blessing Accra! ๐ฌ๐ญ
WHY KRISHNA IS BORN IN EVERY HEART? 5 DEEP REASONS:
1. BIRTH AT MIDNIGHT - DARKNESS TO LIGHT ๐โก๏ธ๐ก
Krishna was born at 12am in Mathura jail, when evil King Kansa was ruling. In Ghana, when dumsor and hardship come, Krishna teaches: Even in darkest night, God is born in your heart. Your midnight problem is His birth time!
2. BUTTER THIEF - STEALS OUR EGO & PRIDE ๐ง
In Vrindavan, Krishna stole butter from Gopis. Butter = our hard-earned ego, "I did it". He steals it because He loves you. When something you love is taken in Ghana, remember: Krishna is removing your pride to make you sweet.
3. FLUTE - EMPTY YOURSELF, HE PLAYS MUSIC ๐ถ
Krishna's flute is hollow - empty inside. Lesson for Ghana youth: If you are full of anger, jealousy, you cannot make music. Empty yourself (forgive, surrender), then God will play beautiful life through you. That is why our Krishna plays flute, not talking!
4. BLUE COLOR - INFINITE LIKE GHANA SKY ๐๐
Why is Krishna blue? Not paint! Blue means infinite, like sky over Accra, like ocean at Labadi. You cannot measure sky. Krishna is beyond caste, tribe, religion. He is Ghana sky - for everyone. Ewe, Ashanti, Ga, Fante - all under same blue!
5. JANMASHTAMI FAST - GHANA TEMPLE CELEBRATES ๐
On Friday Sept 4, we fast till midnight, chant HARE KRISHNA HARE RAMA, break fast with butter & sweets. At Odorkor temple, we will do abhishek, bhajan, and share prasad. You are invited! No ticket - only bhakti!
GHANA CONNECTION:
In Ghana we love babies born with destiny. Krishna is that divine baby who killed evil, loved cows (like our cattle), loved milk (like our brukina!), and taught Bhagavad Gita - which is for every worker, farmer, student.
ACTION TODAY:
Tonight, chant 108 times: HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE | HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE
Come to temple Friday 6pm - Midnight celebration! Wear blue/white.
Question for you: What darkness in your life needs Krishna's birth? Comment below - I will pray for you at midnight arati!
