WISDOM, STATURE AND FAVOUR
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Luke 2:52(NIV)
When Jesus Christ became human and lived among men, he needed to increased in wisdom, stature and in favour with God and man. This means that wisdom, stature, God's favour and man's favour is very important to be able to excel on earth.
Wisdom
One reason to identify one's wisdom is the ability to identify problem and solve the problem.
I will use two people in the bible as an example; Jesus Christ and King Solomon.
1. Matthew 14:10-21(NLT)
According to the book of Matthew, John the baptist disciples went to tell Jesus Christ that Herod Antipas had beheaded John the baptist in prison, He left into a boat to a desert.
(Matthew 14 :1-10 tells us the reason why John the baptist was beheaded)
His disciples and other crowd followed him and were with Him till evening. I believe the people where showing signals of hunger that was why He wanted to feed them.
Jesus Christ was able to feed everyone who was there with five loaves and two fishes. He didn't get confused or panic when they were showing the signals. He identified who He was and miraculously turn five loaves and two fishes into many to the extent of 12 baskets of the remainings remained.
2. 1 Kings 3:3-12(NIV)
Solomon became king of Israel after the death of his father, David. After he offered 1,000 burnt offerings to God, God was pleased with him and asked him to ask what ever he wants. He asked for understanding because he was about 20 years old and Israel was a great and mighty nation and cannot be numbered. God gave him wise and understanding heart to rule them and make wise decisions. (1 Kings 3:16-28)
Stature
Stature can also be termed as "respect". Jesus Christ was respected on earth when he became human. King Solomon was respected.
On this earth, to be respected by society or an individual, you must be a role model.
