Believers Charity Outreach

Believers Charity Outreach Mr. Prince Obeng Amoah, a worker at Tema Steel came up with an idea to collect GH 10 pesewas from every worker at the end of the spiritual exercise.

Believers’ Charity Outreach (BCO) is a registered Christian Non-Governmental Organization which was born on 5th April, 2012 out of a- 12 day fasting and prayers programme under the theme “Covenant Blessings 2012”. The service was organized by Believers’ Gathering- a prayer group formed by Pastor Shine Woyi for workers of Top Industries Limited, the Free Zone branch at Tema. The activity was organi

zed from 28th March, 2012 to 8th April, 2012 and on the 9th day of waiting on the Lord, the young and vibrant youth pastor from Calvary Christian Ministries (CCM) was specifically directed by the Holy Spirit to pray for pregnant women and children. The suggestion was well-embraced by the group and therefore started with a contribution of GHC 1.20 pesewas. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Shine Woyi was instructed to donate these collected funds to needy people (especially children) in society. Currently, the board members are Mr. Shine Woyi- Chairperson, Mr. Charles Baah and Mr. Frank Dotse as Board Members and Mr. Frank Dotse- Secretary. PURPOSE OF THE GROUP
Children, especially teenagers are seen as the future of our dear country, Ghana. There is therefore the need to instill in them the fear of God and also moral discipline. The social issue of teenage pregnancy has become rampant and therefore means the future is bleak. There is the need for social intervention programmes such as an outreach projects as a form of assistance to help fight the immorality which has eaten into the fabric of our society. As an NGO we seek to promote the needs of children through annual outreach activities such as donation exercises to orphanages, preaching the word of God, prayers, and one-on-one chat to know issues of concern among the people in the selected area. SOURCE OF FUNDING FOR PROJECTS

Currently, the team mostly depends on contributions from private individuals, churches, companies, etc.
