NINE LESSONS
(Seventh Lesson: Offer Praise & Worship! )

Praise the Lord!
As we continue our exposition on the NINE LESSONS, today I want us to
ponder over worship and praise to God. Are you giving God praise and worship for bringing you to the end of another year?

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest…” Luke 2:13-14

After the angel announced the birth of Jesus Christ to the shepherds; there arose a thunder of praise and worship by the angels. Again after the shepherds saw baby Jesus, according to the bible they glorified God.

"Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them." Luke 2:20

Don't hold back your praise and worship to God. You have another opportunity to show up in church in the last Sunday of the year with your household to glorify God.

A person who constantly engages in worship is a person who constantly enjoys the presence of God.

God cannot ignore worship. Worship attracts God’s presence and power. People who worship God in spirit and in truth touch the heart of God. Paul and Silas were bound in chains in prison. At midnight, they started to worship and praise God. Suddenly, there was an earthquake. The chains fell off their feet and hands and they were free. The prison gates also opened on its own accord. Acts 16:25-26

Your worship can deliver you from every evil situation.

“Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water…”
Exodus 23:25

I prophesy that as you worship and praise God daily, you will be delivered from unseen dangers in Jesus' name. Amen and Amen”

NINE LESSONS
(Eighth Lesson: Create an atmosphere of Sacrifice) Mathew 2: 1 - 12

Glory be to God!

"...and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh." Mathew 2:11.

The wise men journeyed from the east to see the baby Jesus after they saw His star. One will care to know the purpose of their mission; to worship the newborn king.

They did something significant which many years down the line is still significant. They worshipped the baby with gifts. The Hebrew rendition of the word gifts as seen in Mathew 2:11 is dóron, which denotes sacrifice.

"Your sacrifice is a demonstration of your love for God. God loves sacrifices and encourages us to respect the act.

Furthermore, God made the ultimate sacrifice of sending down His only begotten Son to die in order to redeem us. He did this to demonstrate His love for us.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…”
John 3:16a

Likewise, when your sacrifice meets God’s standards, you touch His heart and He will move on your behalf. Our giving attitude must be like that of the widow in Mark 12:41-44. She gave her all without any thought of what she would live on the next day. The value of sacrifice is not in the quantity but the quality and the heart that backs it."

What gift have you prepared for God as a thanksgiving for keeping you and your household for the entire year? Prepare a worthy sacrifice to worship.

A creditor was about to seize two sons of widow as payment of a debt their late father left behind. Under pressure the woman sought the help of prophet Elisha. God used Elisha to cancel the debt and also leave them with enough money for their upkeep and also to start a business. He did this by asking the woman what she had at home. She only had a bottle of oil. The small bottle of oil was multiplied and generated income.
God will use what you have yet you consider as insignificant to rain his blessing upon you.

You may be disadvantaged and under pressure. God is interested in your case. May the Lord intervene in your life through your ‘little’ faith and the abundance of his grace. May this December be a one that will favor you.

THE ALTAR OF GRACE
(First Ingredient for Success)

Praise God!

I am glad to come your way with the power of the Word once again. On Sunday, November 26, 2017, I led our church in Maryland, USA, to inaugurate and dedicate our new church building (Grace to Grace Center) to God. It was a power packed service and I would love to share portions of God's Word for that service with you this week.

It is great success for anyone, family, group or entity to grow strong enough to put up a monument to reflect their beliefs and goals. This brings joy, fulfilment and a deep sense of accomplishment. On the other hand failure brings ridicule and crashes your self esteem. Hence, everyone desires success in all things. What can you do to experience this success that you so yearn for?

In 1 Kings 3:7-15, Solomon had just succeeded his father David amidst all the drama and contention from his brothers.He offered burnt offerings which made him encounter God that night at Gibeon.

In that encounter, the Lord gave him the first ingredient for success - to know God and have a personal relationship with Him.

"So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” I Kings 3:14

Having a personal relationship with God helps you answer these key questions which sets you up for Success:
- where is my source of strength and grace?
- where am I coming from?
- what am I doing here?
- what is my mission and purpose?

The closer you get to God by observing His ways and commandments through His word, the more you have answers to these questions, which will then lead you on the path of success and achievement. Failure is not your portion! You shall experience lasting success in Jesus name.

My Father in Heaven, teach me your ways and lead me to walk according to your will and purpose for my life. May I represent your glory by the fruits of my deeds in Jesus name. Amen!
