Good morning. Today’s quiet time was titled What We Have and it was taken from 2 Corinthians 8:1-12. In this quiet time, we learn that God loves❤️ wholehearted giving of any measure. Paul commended the people for their desire and their willingness, saying their motivation to give is what makes a gift of any size or amount acceptable (12)🤗. We’re often quick to compare our giving to that of others😕, especially when we don’t have the luxury of giving as much as we’d like to. But God views our giving differently💯: it’s our willingness to give what we have that He loves. Pls share. Have a blessed Day🌞🌻🔥. AMEN.

Theme: Forgiveness
Quote:Matthew 7:12
Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
In the Old Testament, Moses once set a law that was ‘an eye for an eye’ and that whatever wrong one does to you, you are to do to them. But Jesus came and gave us a better standard to live by, a standard that would encourage us to be as loving, and as kind, and as forgiving as possible and to treat others the way we desire to be treated. If we desire to be treated with respect and kindness, we should also strive to treat others with respect and kindness. It would be very unfair of us to treat others badly, and expect people to treat us well, that is selfishness. We are not to live a life dedicated to seeking vengeance against those who wrong us, no. We are to seek to love, for this is godly and to even take it a step further by loving and treating others well without expecting anything in return.
*Prayer*
Dear God, i thank grateful for such a blessed morning giving to me it is by your grace that am alive today. Father it is my heart’s desire is to live out the example you set for us, in the form of your Son, Jesus Christ. He loved all men and women without expecting anything in return. He had our lives at heart when he went through all the pain and suffering. Father, I desire to be just as loving to your sons and daughters as possible. Lord, I ask that you help me enact this love in my everyday life. I cannot do it without you. In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen.

Title: Applicable beginnings
Subtitle: Seperation
Genesis:1.1-4
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

My mum once told me when I used to be in Junior High School, during Bible study that everything that transcends humanity is found in Genesis 1. I studied it and always referred things to the scriptures. She told me that all the questions and answers to life are found in Genesis.

I will like to share few things I gathered and have understood from then till now. She talked about how I can separate myself from things that do not glorified God.
MUMMY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS APPLICABLE IN REAL LIFE
I gathered that our lives were formless and empty and darkness had covered the surface of our lives and the hidden treasures within us.
God was with us because He created us. We were little babies and because we knew nothing, he brought light into our lives and separated us from darkness.
Another interesting part was when God said that "He saw that it was good".
The word of the Lord said in the New Testament that "the light shineth in the darkness and darkness could not comprehend it".
Darkness and light cannot work together. Even when God created night, He made the moon to shine in the darkness because He knew we could not live without light.
Where I will like to stress more, is the part that God says that He separated light from darkness and saw that it was good.
In our world today, we have two lives, either the life of darkness or light. But the rather unfortunate situation is that most of us are living both and we are unable to separate the light from darkness so we don't know what is good for our lives.
I wouldn't want to stress more because it will be a long message.
What I want us to take from here is that, before we came into Christ we were formless and empty though we had the spirit of God in us, under His grace and mercy.
When we accepted Christ, we came into light and the darkness in our lives separated from us.
The word is separation. Separation means darkness will leave us but still exit. The former things will always be there but we need to know that once we have been separated from light, we should no long associate ourselves with darkness.
The Bible says that' all good and perfect thing comes from the lord"..When we came into Christ, we understand the goodness of God, sacrificing Jesus for us.
I wouldn't know the darkness in your life, but pray to God about light and separate yourself from darkness.
The darkness may be in the area of friendship, relationship, pleasure, job, attitude, lifestyle etc.
It's always difficult to do away with the least mentioned especially when that is where we find our source of shelter.
God says we should separate from them and move into light.
He will lead us and bring us to glory.
God bless you
Prayer: Father Lord thank you for such a wonderful day. Am grateful for the previous day. My heartbeat prayer today is that you may deliver me from formless and empty life and bring me into your light, thereby separating me from darkness. May your will alone be my desire and fulfilled in my life in Jesus Christ's name. Amen
