1. Love Alone Is Not Enough
“Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.” – Proverbs 24:3
Love is powerful but not complete by itself. Without wisdom, patience, and understanding, love can’t last. It takes more than emotion to build a lasting relationship.
2. Character Is Greater Than Chemistry
“By their fruits you shall know them.” – Matthew 7:16
Oneday i tried recommending a lady to one of my sons in the faith and he told me daddy I don't feel any Chemistry then i said okay. Chemistry may attract you, but character will keep you. Don’t be moved by excitement, watch behavior. A person’s real worth is in their values, not their looks or words.please aside the chemistry look for character.😷
3. Not Everyone Who Likes You Is Right for You
“All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful.” – 1 Corinthians 6:12
Just because someone loves you doesn’t mean they are God’s choice. Compatibility in purpose matters more than compatibility in feelings.
4. You Must Heal Before You Love Again
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23
A wounded heart can’t love well. Don’t rush into another relationship just to escape pain. Healing brings clarity and peace.
5. Purpose Should Come Before Partnership
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” – Amos 3:3
When you know your purpose, you can identify who fits into it. Don’t choose a partner out of loneliness. choose in alignment with destiny. Choose someone going where you going.
6. Communication Is the Lifeline of Every Relationship
“Let your conversation be always full of grace.” – Colossians 4:6
Silence builds distance. Misunderstanding destroys trust. Always speak with grace, clarity, and honesty. Good communication builds connection.
7. Boundaries Protect Love
“Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” – Song of Solomon 8:4
Love without discipline leads to disaster. Boundaries don’t kill love, they preserve it. Learn to say no where necessary.
8. God Must Be at the Center
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.” – Psalm 127:1
When God is not involved, even good relationships crumble. Prayer, purity, and faith keep love stable and spiritual.
9. Red Flags Don’t Change After Marriage
“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” – Proverbs 22:3
What you ignore while dating will multiply after marriage. Don’t excuse bad behavior thinking it will change later. Face it before you commit. I will stop here for now.
10. The Right Relationship Pushes You Closer to God and Purpose
“Two are better than one… if either falls, one can help the other up.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
The right person doesn’t pull you down; they lift you higher. They bring peace, not confusion. They help you grow in faith, not backslide. That was the story of Our Archbishop charlse Agyinasare of Perez chapel international, through his wife he became born again and today look at what God is doing with him. Glory be to God.
