FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR KOJO OKU ASSEMBLY CHURCH BUILDING
Kojo Oku Assembly, Sunday, 31st May 2026
The Kojo Oku Assembly of The Church of Pentecost marked a significant milestone in its history with the successful Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for its permanent church building project on Sunday, 31st May 2026, at the church premises.
The ceremony, which commenced at 8:30 a.m., was officiated by the Kasoa Area Head, Apostle James Kwabena Asare, with assistance from the District Minister, Pastor Ebenezer Buadu Ekumah.
Present at the event were the minister’s wife, Mrs. Louisa Buadu Ekumah, members of the District Estate Committee, the Local Presbytery, and the entire congregation, all gathered to witness this historic occasion.
The service began in an atmosphere of fervent prayer, followed by a vibrant session of praise and worship during which members joyfully lifted their voices in adoration to God. The congregation also participated in Bible Studies before receiving a powerful word ministration from the Area Head.
Delivering a sermon titled “Preparing for Eternity and Death” based on Psalm 90:12 and Hebrews 9:27, Apostle James Kwabena Asare reminded the congregation of the certainty of death and the importance of living lives that are pleasing to God. He encouraged believers to be kingdom-minded, heaven-focused, and intentional in their spiritual journey.
Some key lessons from the message included:
* Everyone has an expiration date attached to their earthly life.
* While many things in life may be uncertain, death remains 100% certain.
* Death is a mystery that cannot be negotiated with.
* Believers must carefully plan and nurture their spiritual lives to avoid missing heaven.
* Christians should also make deliberate preparations for the generations they will leave behind.
The sermon concluded with prayers for the church, its members, and the building project.
Following the message, a brief history of the Kojo Oku Assembly and the church building project was presented to the congregation. Members then proceeded to the designated construction site, where the foundation stone was formally laid amidst prayers and thanksgiving to God.
The ceremony successfully brought together church leaders and members in a spirit of unity, faith, and anticipation as the Assembly embarks on the construction of a permanent place of worship. The event was brought to a close with prayers and expressions of gratitude to God for His faithfulness and guidance.
The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony stands as a testament to God’s grace upon the Kojo Oku Assembly and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the growth and development of the church.
