You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty as Sometimes beautiful things come into our lives out of nowhere. We can't always understand them, but we have to trust in them. I know you want to question everything, but sometimes it pays to just have a little faith. Because There’s always going to be bad stuff out there. But here’s the amazing thing - light trumps darkness every time. You stick a candle into the dark, but you can’t stick the dark into the light so In life it's important to know when to stop arguing with people, smile and walk away.

TODAY'S MESSAGE : OVERCOMING TEMPTATION

TODAY’S VERSE
No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it. I Corinthians 10:13 (TMB)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Life is hard. It is easy to be tempted to take the easy way out. Easy to complain. Easy to give up. But what a slippery slope we walk on. Lying, cheating, substances, gambling. These are the temptations we hear about the most. But what about the temptation to hate, become depressed or ungrateful? You see, we are all tempted to behave in a way we shouldn’t. What’s your temptation? Do you feel hopeless to overcome? Are you in total denial? Whatever your temptations are today, God knows and is waiting for you to come to Him for help. “He will never let you be pushed past your limit; He will always be there to help you come through.” Call on Him today.

PRAYER
Dear Father, You know the temptations I face. I have been in such denial. I have felt so helpless at times. I can’t do this life without You. I need Your help. Thank You for promising that You will always be there to help me come through. Oh my Heavenly Father, I wait on You to help me. Help me today. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ Your son, my Savior.

AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
Christ helps me overcome temptation
Feel yourself in the clutches of a temptation. It is upon you. You feel powerless to overcome. But all of a sudden there is a new sensation. It is the presence of God. He has come to set you free. His Holy Spirit is present and wells up inside of you. Courage and strength burst from your heart and you say, “No!” You feel the power of God and again say, “No! Be gone!” You see Christ next to you, praying, fighting your fight. He puts His arm around you and helps you overcome. You shout out loud, “Christ helps me overcome temptation. Praise His name!”

TODAY’S VERSE
“You have endowed him with eternal blessings and given him the joy of your presence.” Psalms 21:6 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Here we see King David writing a psalm about God’s blessing in his life. David felt blessed because God gave him the joy of being in His presence. Joy comes from deep bonded relationships, especially with God. That is why we were created. God desires our fellowship. He has endowed each of us with eternal blessings that come from the joy of His presence. *But do we even pay attention to God?* Much like a marriage, you can choose to enjoy each other’s company or you can keep busy ignoring each other’s companionship and wonder years later, why the love is gone. Today, choose to be conscious of the presence of God. Choose to stop and meditate on who He is and the infinite love He has for you. When you do, you will find true joy.

PRAYER
Father, make me conscious of Your presence. Help me to experience today, the deep joy of knowing You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and fill my heart with Your love.

MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I live in the awareness of God
Picture yourself in the presence of God. Not passively but focused, attuned into God. Feel His love for you. Picture Him being happy with you, full of love for you. As you sense His presence become aware of the fact that He is aware of you. You are the object of His attention. He loves you and desires for you to fully know Him. Worship Him and thank Him for His presence. Affirm today that it is your desire to live in the awareness of His presence.

*Today’s Joy*

*Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;no shadow of shame will darken their faces. Psalms 34:5 (NLT)*

*MESSAGE*
“No shadow of shame will darken their face.” What overshadows you? Unresolved trauma, bitterness, unforgiveness, sense of shame, sorrow, guilt? We are emotional creatures and if we are not careful, our emotions will overshadow us. Instead, God offers us joy. All we need to do is look to Him. But that is easier said than done. We let the mistakes, troubles and traumas of the past cast a dark ominus shadow over all we do and are. Or we spend our time fretting about the future. We get so busy worrying and planning that we don’t see the darkness that it leaves us in. Instead, God wants to live in His radiant light. He wants us to live each day to its fullest. He has joy for us if we will trust Him for it. Today, let us come to Him. Give Him this day. Take all your bitterness, regret, and trauma from the past and the worries, fears, apprehensions of the future and trade them for the the joy and love God has for you today.

*PRAYER*

Dear Father, how I need Your joy today. Forgive me for letting the past cast such a shadow on me. Forgive me for letting the worries of the future keep me from enjoying Your presence today. I come to You now and ask that You would take this day and lead me, guide me and fill me with the reality of Your love and joy.

I choose to live in the now
Take a deep breath and let it out slowly. As you do, focus on this day. As your mind begins to fill with thoughts, stop and focus again, but this time on this very moment. Become conscious of this very moment. Hear your breath, feel your heart beat, hear the noise around you. Pray, Lord make me conscious of Your presence. Sense God here with you, right now. Pray again, “Lord, help me live today with full awareness that You are with me and today I will live in the radiance of present joy.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Prayer: May the love of our God almighty that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord keep you and protect you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Christian Living

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me
- Galatians 2:20

I am dead, but I am still living, Paul says. My old, sinful nature was crucified, put to a slow painful death on the cross of Jesus Christ. And now I live by the vibrant, resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

Paul is writing to the church at Galatia, who had been greatly troubled by the teaching that salvation is, in essence, earned by works. Instead of resting in the grace of God, they had been encouraged to legalism and law service.

Interestingly, when Paul writes to them he does not claim that godly living is not a part of salvation. However, he turns the order around entirely. I am not saved because I am good, Paul says, I am good because I am saved: the life I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God.

This is the essence of Christian living. It is not about a set of rules for us to follow gloomily; it is about a Person for us to follow joyfully. Because Christ loved us and gave himself for us, we then love and give ourselves for him!

Have you felt the sin-crucifying, love-inspiring grace of Jesus Christ in your life? If so, then it will display itself in the way you now live, by the faith of the Son of God.

Cross of Christ

We preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God
- 1 Corinthians 1:23-24

What was the subject of the apostles' message? Christ crucified.

Why? Not merely because it was a good example, or a tragic lesson. As the rest of this chapter, of this book, and of the New Testament clearly reveals, it was the crucifixion of Christ which put away our sins and provided for us the righteousness we needed for salvation.

To the Jews this message was a stumbling block. It was offensive to think all their good works, all their prayers, all their obedience to Moses' law could not save them. And especially to hear that they had to trust in this lowly Jesus of Nazareth for their salvation.

To the Greeks this message was utter foolishness. Whereas the Jews were religious, the Greeks were intellectual. The whole idea of salvation through a crucified carpenter was nonsense to their philosophical minds. While many of them had theories about life, purpose, meaning, and even salvation, the cross of Christ was certainly not among the plans they had formulated.

Yet, many Jews did receive the message of Christ crucified, and countless Greeks embraced Jesus as their Lord and Savior! What made the difference?

Some, Paul says, were called. To them Christ was powerful enough to save them from dead law service and wise enough to transcend their best philosophies. To them Jesus was not offensive or foolish; he was salvation from their limitations!

How do you view the cross? Is it offensive and foolish, or is it powerful and wise and liberating?

I, John, looked and there was the Lamb standing on Mount Zion,
and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.
I heard a sound from heaven
like the sound of rushing water or a loud peal of thunder.
The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.
They were singing what seemed to be a new hymn before the throne,
before the four living creatures and the elders.
No one could learn this hymn except the hundred and forty-four thousand
who had been ransomed from the earth.
These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes.
They have been ransomed as the first fruits
of the human race for God and the Lamb.
On their lips no deceit has been found; they are unblemished.

I myself will look after and tend my sheep.
As a shepherd tends his flock
when he finds himself among his scattered sheep,

I myself will pasture my sheep;
I myself will give them rest, says the Lord GOD.
The lost I will seek out,
the strayed I will bring back,
the injured I will bind up,
the sick I will heal,
but the sleek and the strong I will destroy,

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

Divine Heart of Jesus, convert sinners, save the dying, deliver the holy souls in purgatory.

Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, increase in us our Faith, Hope and Charity.

Good Jesus, give me a deep love for Thee, that nothing may be too hard for me to bear from Thee.

Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of Thee.

Heart of Jesus, I put my trust in Thee!
