Dear Lord,
In a world of constant distractions, help us to see You clearly.
When the voices around us grow loud, draw our attention back to Your still small voice.
Where we have looked to others for validation, lift our eyes to Your unfailing love.
You are our centre, our stability, our strength.
Keep our eyes fixed on You, Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When life feels too heavy to carry, remember:
You’re not the burden-bearer. Jesus is.
You’re not the source of strength. God is.
You’re not the provider. He is.
You’re not the sustainer. He is.
You’re only called to trust the Lord who never fails.

Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. ~ 1 Peter 5:7

Sermon Title: Do You Not Know?
Text: 1 Corinthians 6:1–20
Preacher: Pastor Mawuli Tsikata

What a life-changing word we received today.
We were reminded that when we forget who we are in Christ, we begin to live beneath our calling. Paul’s repeated question, “Do you not know?” is not just a rebuke, but a call to remember our gospel identity.

Here are five truths we discovered from 1 Corinthians 6:

1. Do You Not Know Your Identity?
You are a co-heir with Christ, set apart, and destined to reign with Him. Live with kingdom dignity and resolve earthly matters with gospel wisdom. (Matthew 18:15-17)

2. Do You Not Know the Standard of the Kingdom?
God calls us to holy living. Not perfection, but transformation. Grace doesn’t excuse sin, it empowers us to overcome it. (Galatians 5:19–21; Titus 2:11–12)

3. Do You Not Know You Belong to Christ?
Your body is not your own, it is joined to Christ.
(Romans 12:1; Ephesians 5:29–30)

4. Do You Not Know the Power of S*xual Union?
S*x is not just physical. It was designed for covenant, not casual moments. (Genesis 2:24; 1 Thessalonians 4:3)

5. Do You Not Know You Are God’s Temple?
God’s Spirit dwells in you. Your body is holy space.
(2 Corinthians 6:16; 1 Peter 2:5)

Let us live in light of who we are.
You were washed. You were sanctified. You were justified. Now glorify God in your body.
