Dear Proud Bethanites,

With heavy hearts yet spirits filled with hope and gratitude, we invite you to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved founder, His Eminence, Rt. Rev. Dr. Prince John Blackson (Primate & Episcopal Vicar-General). It is with deep reverence and a sense of profound loss that we invite you to join us in a spirit-filled transition service as we lay our dear founder to rest.

From Thursday, 24th August, 2023 at 4:00am through to Sunday 27th August 2023, we will come together in the sacred space of His Residence (Sompaduase Kingsgate Gardens, Off Kenyase Antoa Road - GPS [AD-286-5684]) and the First Mother Church (Emmanuel Miracle Cathedral, Near Silicon Hotel - GPS [AK-573-7984]) to commemorate the extraordinary journey of faith that our founder embarked upon, and to offer our sincerest gratitude for the indelible impact made on our lives and our church family.

During this burial service, we will embrace the opportunity to reflect upon the countless ways in which our founder's unwavering devotion to God has shaped our congregation. We will cherish his legacy and the seeds of faith he planted within us, nurturing the growth of our spiritual community.

Let us remember that even as we bid farewell to our founder's earthly form, his spirit remains alive and vibrant among us. We will gather and uplift one another in prayer, singing hymns of praise, and sharing cherished memories and stories that exemplify the depth of his faith and the love he poured into our church.

Together, we will find solace in the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit, drawing strength from the unity and support of our church family. As we release our beloved founder into God's loving embrace, we will also commit ourselves to carrying his vision forward, continuing the work he started with renewed passion and dedication.

May this transition service be a testament to the enduring power of faith and the transformative influence of a life fully surrendered to God's purpose. Let us come together, bound by love and the shared memories of our founder, as we honor his remarkable life and bid him a farewell befitting his extraordinary journey.
