And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware. She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
👁️LESSON:
To fulfill your Purpose and Destiny in life or to attain a certain goal, there's always a price to pay, because nothing comes on a silver platter, even God paid a Price to save us.
Israel wanted to be delivered from the oppression of the Philistines, God hears their cry and decides to raise a judge(Samson) to deliver them, but before this would be possible, there was a price to be paid by Samson's mother and Samson himself. This price no matter how difficult it was, needed to be paid for the freedom of Israel. Paying the Price is not an easy task at all but it's worth it. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow once said that, "The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night"
The truth of the matter is that there is no rosary path to glory or greatness. Every Height you want to get to in life comes with a Price, the Higher the height, the More Expensive the Price to be paid.
Even though the instructions were given to Samson's mother at the time she had not even conceived him, Samson also had a part to play in paying the price for fulfilling his divine mandate. In fact, the majority of the price payment was upon him once he grew up. It was his to accept that he had a divine mandate to fulfill, get to know what the price was as long as his divine mandate of rescuing the Israelites from the Philistines was concerned. At a certain age, his parents could not have forced to do anything or take any decision, the best they could do was to try to coach him, counsel him and pray for him, which would be about only 20% of paying the price. 80% of paying the price was in his hands and the choice was his to make.
It's heartbreaking to know that most Christians, especially today's youth, lazy themselves about, engaging in all manner of forbidden acts, and not taking their destinies into their own hands all because Christ has paid the price on the cross. It's true Christ has paid the price, it was the price for our sins but it doesn't mean grace and favour will do everything for us. There's a part for Grace and there's a part of Favour and there's a part for Hard work, Diligence, Self-discipline, Trusting and Obeying God in order to be a Fulfilled and an Extraordinary Christian.
It's vital to know that, when it comes to Fulfilling your Purpose and Destiny in life or a reaching a Goal, there's a price you have to pay that no one else can pay for you unless you and you alone. In spite of the fact that you will need others to help you, such people are only helpers and no matter the amount of help they give you, they can only help you but to a limit, the rest depends on you.
Jesus wanted to Save this dying world but He had to pay a price and that price was for Him to leave His heavenly throne and glory, take up the form a man, come down to this earth and die on the cross(Heb 12:2). The Magnitude of the Price one would have to pay is directly proportional to the Magnitude of his or her Divine Mandate, Purpose and Destiny or the Magnitude of the Goal he or she wants to achieve.
Paying the Price is not just limited to only your Spiritual life such as your divine assignment, purpose, destiny or spiritual maturity, it actually cuts across all spheres of your life, from academic excellence, personal development, fulfilled career or profession, successful marriage, to any other Goal you wish to achieve.
Don't forget Extraordinary people go the Extra mile and do the Extraordinary things. If you're not interested in knowing and paying the price then it means you're not interested in fulfilling your divine mandate or attaining your set goals.
Paying the Price comes with a Reward and that Reward could be a Fulfilled Purpose and Destiny or Achieved Goals and Dreams.
