RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY

THEME
The Lordship of Christ begins with surrender

SCRIPTURE
Romans 12:1 (NKJV)
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

REFLECTION

The Lordship of Christ is not established by words alone; it is revealed through surrender. Romans 12:1 calls us to a deliberate act—presenting ourselves fully to God. To surrender is to yield our rights, desires, and control to Christ, acknowledging that He knows better than we do.

True surrender is not forced; it is a response to the mercies of God. When we remember all that Christ has done for us, laying down our lives becomes a reasonable service. Under His Lordship, we no longer live for self, but for His will and purpose.

Where surrender begins, transformation follows. When Christ is Lord, obedience becomes our lifestyle, holiness becomes our pursuit, and God’s will becomes our delight.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to You afresh today.
I present myself as a living sacrifice—my body, my will, and my desires.
Take full control and reign over every area of my life.
Let my life bring glory to You as I walk in obedience and purpose.
I declare that You are Lord, now and always.
Amen.

RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY

THEME:
Jesus Christ, Lord Over the New Year

SCRIPTURE:
Philippians 2:9–11 (NKJV)
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

REFLECTION:

As we step into a new year, the most powerful decision we can make is to enthrone Jesus Christ as Lord over it. The new year comes with uncertainties, expectations, plans, and challenges—but the Word assures us that Jesus has been exalted above all. His name carries supreme authority over time, seasons, circumstances, and destinies.

Declaring Jesus as Lord over the new year means we surrender control and place our trust in His sovereignty. It means our plans submit to His will, our fears bow to His power, and our future rests in His hands. When Christ is Lord, nothing in the year ahead is permitted to overwhelm us, because everything must bow at His name.

This year will not be ruled by chance, fear, or human strength—but by the Lordship of Christ. Under His reign, the year is ordered, purposeful, and victorious, bringing glory to God the Father.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, we exalt You and declare that You are Lord over this new year.
We submit our lives, families, ministries, plans, and expectations to Your authority.
Let every challenge bow to Your name and every path align with Your will.
Reign over our days, guide our steps, and glorify Yourself through us.
We confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Amen.

RHEMA WORD FOR TODAY

THEME:
Gratitude for the Gift of Christ

SCRIPTURE:

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts… and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do… do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” — Colossians 3:15–17 (NKJV)

REFLECTION:
As we come to the last day of the year, God calls us to pause—not first to ask for more, but to give thanks. Colossians 3 reminds us that gratitude is not seasonal; it is a posture of the heart shaped by Christ.

The greatest gift we received this year was not protection alone, provision alone, or breakthroughs alone—it was Christ Himself. His peace ruled our hearts in uncertainty. His Word sustained us through challenges. His name carried us through every season.

Gratitude keeps our hearts aligned with heaven. It turns memories into testimonies, trials into lessons, and survival into praise. As the year ends, thanksgiving helps us close one chapter well and step into the next with faith, peace, and joy.

Today, let gratitude be your offering. Let Christ be your focus. Let thanksgiving prepare your heart for the year ahead.

PRAYER:
Father, on this final day of the year, I thank You for the gift of Christ and for Your faithfulness throughout every season. Thank You for Your peace, Your Word, and Your sustaining grace. As I enter a new year, let my life be marked by gratitude in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THEME:
The Birth of Christ — Glory to God

SCRIPTURE:

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.” — Luke 2:11 (NKJV)

REFLECTION:

Today, 25th December, we join believers around the world to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Heaven announced His arrival with glory, joy, and praise because this birth changed the course of human history.

Luke 2:11 reveals the heart of Christmas: a Saviour is born. Not a politician, not a philosopher, but Christ the Lord—God’s anointed One—sent to rescue humanity from sin and restore us to God. His birth brought hope to the hopeless, light to those in darkness, and peace to all who would receive Him.

The angels’ message reminds us that Christmas is ultimately about God’s glory. In sending His Son, God revealed His love, faithfulness, and redemptive plan. The manger became the meeting place of heaven and earth, where divine glory was wrapped in human flesh.

As we celebrate today, Christmas calls us to respond with worship, gratitude, and obedience. Let our lives echo the angels’ song: “Glory to God!”

PRAYER:
Father, we give You glory and praise for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for the Saviour born for us. As we celebrate His birth today, fill our hearts with joy, peace, and thanksgiving. May our lives bring glory to You, now and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THEME:
The Birth Announced by Angels

SCRIPTURE
Luke 2:10–12 (NKJV)
“Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.’”

REFLECTION:
Heaven could not remain silent on the night Jesus was born. God sent angels to ordinary shepherds with an extraordinary message — joy had come, salvation had arrived, and hope had stepped into human history.

The angel’s announcement broke through fear with good news. It revealed that Christ’s birth was not for a few, but for all people — for the weak, the forgotten, the broken, and the searching. The Savior came in humility, wrapped in swaddling cloths, reminding us that God meets us even in the simplest places.

This message still echoes today: Jesus is God’s gift of joy, peace, and salvation. When Christ enters our lives, fear gives way to faith, sorrow to joy, and darkness to light. The birth announced by angels is still the greatest news the world has ever heard.

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for the joyful announcement of Christ’s birth. Thank You for sending Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Let this good news fill my heart with peace and joy today. Help me to share this message of hope with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
