TITLE: ENEMIES OF PRAISE

I have been sharing with you for the past weeks of the month of September about the theme ‘PRAISE’.
Today I want to share with you a sub titled ‘THE ENEMIES OF PRAISE’. Some of the enemies of praise are;
1. Murmuring and complains; Everything you murmur about never grows but rather it diminishes. When you murmur in life you stop accomplishment. Triumphant begins when complain stops. Try to avoid complains and murmur because it promotes God’s anger. There is nothing to complain about but there is something to praise him for. God hears prayer and hears defeat as well. No one can secure favor from God through complains. Anyone who lives in complains lives in defeat. Live a complain free life and bear in mind that anything that serves as accusation finger, accuse also with praise. Numbers 11:1
2. Spirit of heaviness; Heaviness is a spirit and Satan knows that. God has nothing to do with your circumstances. Those who cannot see where they are going now are those who cast down due to the spirit of heaviness. If you cannot see what God has for you, He is not committed to bring it to pass. Those who do not know how to acknowledge God remain on the same spot. God is absent in your life with the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3
3. Being offended at God; To be offended at God is an obstacle in life. Every time you mark God wrong, you make your path crooked. To justify yourself, you make your path crooked. When you point accusation finger at God, you make your path crooked. God is never at fault, He is always right. When you are offended at God, He gets offended at you and Satan pushes you up. You change your position when you are offended at God. Matthew 11:1-6
4. Discontentment; It means not satisfy with things you have or around you. Everyone that is discontent digs his or her own grave. Discontentment is a shortcut to death. It causes all your organs to function wrongly. Don’t live a life of competition or rat race. Just be content. 1Timothy 6:6

Message ;PRAISE.
Praise is appreciating God for who He is,
*Your high rate of God makes you praise Him.
*Praise must flow from within,it does not deal with the circumstances around you(Psalm 147;1)
*God is excited at Praise(motivation).
*God is mobilized when we Praise Him.
*If you want to see God backing you up,live a life of endless praise.
*Praise will give you a life of endless miracles.
*When you complain instead of praising,God becomes agitated.

THEME: HONOURING FATHERS.
SPIRITUAL POWERS OF FATHERS.
1. The spiritual ability of a father to speak a curse.

a. A father has the ability to bless or curse. Gen. 9:21-22

b. Fathers occupy a seat of authority. Fathers occupy a seat of authority in their entire lives and so therefore has the power to speak a curse or a blessing upon the lives of their sons and daughters. Romans 13:1-2, Gen 9:20.

We were blessed by this sermon on honouring our fathers. We learnt that curses from our fathers tends to affect and us even unto our children as it occurred to Ham in the Bible.

He also emphasized on the fact that all though it pains to obey it always pays off as there are always blessing when we honour our fathers.
