*WHO IS YOUR EXPECTATION FROM?*
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.”
— Ps 62:5 (NKJV)

Expectation is something you hope for, something you are looking forward to or something you desire. It is the believer’s privilege to use this language, that *my expectation is from the Lord.* If you are looking for something from the world, it is *a poor “expectation”* indeed. But if you look to God for the supply of your wants, whether in temporal or spiritual blessings, your *“expectation”* will not be in vain. You must constantly draw from the bank of faith, and get your needs supplied out of the riches of God’s lovingkindness.

This I know, I had rather have God for my banker than all the world could offer. *My Lord never fails to honour his promises; and when we bring them to His throne, He never sends them back unanswered.* Therefore you must wait only at His door, for He ever opens it with the hand of munificent grace. He alone can be trusted and relied upon for His faithfulness is to all generations. At this hour, you can trust Him again.

But we do have “expectations” beyond this life. We shall leave this earth soon; and then our “expectation is from Him.” As we approach the heavenly gate, we expect to hear the welcome invitation, “Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” We are expecting heaps of gold and crowns of glory; we are hoping soon to be among the multitude of shining ones before the throne; we are looking forward and longing for the time when we shall be like our glorious Lord for *“We shall see him as he is.”*

Beloved, if these are your “expectations,” beyond this life, then learn to live for God; live with the desire and resolve to glorify him from whom comes all your supplies, and of whose grace in your election, redemption, and calling, it is that you have any “expectation” of coming glory. Your expectations must inf

*SALVATION IS THE LORD'S DOING*
“But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord."”
— Jona 2:9 (NKJV)

Salvation is not just just deliverance from hell to heaven. It's a full package of health, wealth, dominion, prosperity, excellence and many more. This Salvation is the work of God. It is He alone who quickens the soul “dead in trespasses and sins,” and it is he also who maintains the soul in its spiritual life. He is both “Alpha and Omega, that's the beginning and the end.” “Salvation is of the Lord.”

If you are prayerful, God makes you prayerful; if you have graces, they are God’s gifts to you; if you hold on in a consistent life, it is because He upholds you with his hand. You do nothing whatever towards your own preservation, except what God himself first does in you. Whatever you have, all your goodness is of the Lord alone. In case you sin, that is your own; but should you act rightly, that is of God, wholly and completely. If you have repulsed a spiritual enemy, the Lord’s strength nerved your arm.

Do you live before men a consecrated life? It is not you, but Christ who lives in you. Are you sanctified? You did not cleanse yourself: God’s Holy Spirit sanctifies you. Are you weaned from the world? You are weaned by God's chastisements sanctified to your good. Do you grow in knowledge? The great Instructor teaches you. All your jewels were fashioned by heavenly art. You find in God all that you want; but you find in yourself nothing but sin and misery. “He only is your rock and your salvation.” Do you feed on the Word? That Word would be no food for you unless the Lord made it food for your soul, and helped you to feed upon it.

Do you live on the manna which comes down from heaven? What is that manna but Jesus Christ himself incarnate, whose body and whose blood you eat and drink? Are you continually receiving fresh increase of strength? Where do

*THINK ABOUT THE NEXT GENERATION*
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
— Prov 22:6 (NKJV)

The youth of every nation is their greatest asset, and you must focus in them. A lot of people want today's satisfaction without thinking about the future generations--our dear children--the leaders of tomorrow. No wonder Jesus loves them dearly and never gets weary of them. Once His disciples tried to prevent people from bringing their children to Him, but He rebuked them saying _"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.”_ *Mar 10:14 (NKJV).*

It's very important for us to give special attention to children, especially the destitute children in our cities, streets, slums, under bridges etc. These ones live in abject poverty, neglect and despair. But we can bring them hope.

Many of them are frustrated and bereft if a chance to live. Some die everyday from hunger, with no one to help. Most of them have turned beggars. *A child who turned a beggar at a tender age would surely become a violent adult.* _This is one of the reasons for increasing crimes in society; the reason we must do something now._

According to the Bible, children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord *(Psalm 127:3).* God expects them to be raised the right way *(Prov. 22:6).* It's important that we *give them special attention and consideration when making decisions, whether or not they are our biological children.* It's your responsibility to put things in place or set things right to secure the future of our children. *Remember, every child is your child.* Amen
_*(If you are sick right now, or you feel any pain in your body right now, say; in the name of Jesus, devil, I command you to take your filthy hands off my body right now. Body, be healed and be filled with life and strength right now. Now begin to do what you could not do before in Jesus name. Give G
