On 14th March, 2026, at the Archbishop Andoh Catechetical and Retreat Center, the faithful from St. James Catholic Church- Osu, Good Shepherd Catholic Church- Tema, Corpus Christi Catholic Church- Sakumono, St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church –Gbetsile, Our Lady Seat of Wisdom–Oyarifa, and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church–Ashale Botwe gathered for their Lenten Recollection.
The recollection offered them the opportunity to step away from the noise of daily life and listen attentively to God’s voice speaking to our hearts.
The recollection was centered on the profound theme: “Be perfect, just as your Heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). Through this theme, they were reminded that the call to holiness is not optional but essential for every Christian. It is a daily journey of striving to reflect God’s love, mercy, and righteousness in our thoughts, words, and actions.
We are especially grateful to Rev. Fr. Isaac Dunyoh, whose insightful and Spirit-filled facilitation helped us to better understand that this perfection is not about flawlessness, but about growing in love, forgiveness, and faithfulness. He challenged us to continually examine our lives and align ourselves more closely with the will of God.
It was truly a moment of grace; an opportunity to pause, reflect, and renew our commitment to live as true children of God.
