STAY STRONG iii
2 Cor 12: 10
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Amen

Beloved, we continue to look at some ways to stay strong for Jesus. This may include:

3. Guarding our minds and hearts.
Being mindful of the influences we allow into our lives, such as media, entertainment, and relationships, is essential for maintaining our faith and protecting ourselves from worldly temptations. Guard your heart and mind on anything that will corrupt you and only fill your heart and mind with things that will cause you to grow in the Lord.

4. Practicing obedience and self-discipline. Following Jesus requires discipline and obedience to His teachings. Engaging in daily acts of obedience, such as forgiving others, loving our neighbors, and serving others, help us to walk in His footsteps.

Pray for more grace to endure any difficult situation that you may be going through now! Tell yourself: for when I am weak, then I am strong!

STRONG
2 Cor 12: 10
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Amen

My Beloved, indeed we all face difficult situations occassionally. It's even possible you are going through a lot right now. Either your colleague, superior or relative isn't treating you fairly or your business / academics is not growing as fast as you had hoped. Some are in marriages / relationships that are becoming sour and mouldy whilst others are praying for the right partner but to no avail yet.

Anytime we are faced with such oppositions, frustration and anxiety easily set in. This happens especially when we don't understand why we're going through those trying moments and why it’s taking so long to have positive results. However, the fact that you feel uncomfortable about your situation doesn’t mean it’s not part of God's approved plan for our lives. The truth is that, God always uses these challenges to produce godly character in us. So you can be tough, steadfast in our faith, knowledgeable in His Word, humble in His service, patient with His promises and totally dependent on God.

Be comforted therefore by the fact that God will not allow a difficulty your way unless He has a plan for it to better your life, and also knows you can handle it. So Child of God, stop worrying and complaining at the least obstacle and make the choice of staying positive through it all. Depend on the Holy Spirit for strength and you will see how He moves you higher into glory. For with God by your side you are more than a conqueror. All these experiences are working for your good.

Pray for more grace to endure any difficult situation that you may be going through now! Tell your self: for when am weak, then I am strong!

YOU WILL SURELY OVERCOME ìii
Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Beloved, we have already established the truth that, no matter what you are facing in this life God will surely make a way for you. You will surely overcome them. In view of this, you are expected to put up a behaviour that will cause what God has said about you to be materialized. One of the characteristics of a believer in times of difficulties is endurance. Yes, the believer is expected to ensure all hardship.

Overcoming is often equated with enduring. Jesus encouraged those who followed Him to “endure to the end” (Matt 24:13). A true disciple of Christ is one who endures through trials by the power of the Holy Spirit. An overcomer clings to Christ, no matter how high the cost of discipleship. Hebrews 3:14 says, “We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.”

Jesus warned that holding fast to Him would not be easy, but it would be well worth it. In Mark 13:13 He says, “You will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (ESV). We have the guarantee of Jesus that, if we are His, we will be able to endure to the end and His rewards will make it all worthwhile.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will empower you and cause you to endure every difficult confronting you now. You will surely overcome after enduring. Receive greater grace to overcome in Jesus name.

I declare that, I am an overcome in Jesus name.

YOU WILL SURELY OVERCOME ìi
Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Beloved, glory to God for counting us amongst the living this day. We continue to look at our topic. Yesterday, we saw how Paul admonished the Romans of the overcoming power that has been bestowed on the believer through Christ's works on the cross. The power to overcome has now been trusted into the hands of the believer because Jesus set the pace on the cross.

Dearly Beloved, you may be going through some pressing and difficult moments now and may be wondering if indeed God exists? It could be marital, unemployment, health issues or any other predicaments. No matter what the issue may be, keep your trust and hopes alive in God for very soon you will overcome them. Some of these things only come our way to strengthen our faith in God and also give us living testimonies of what God can do.

Always remember that, what God can not do does not exist. You will surely emerge as a victor. Keep praying and never shipwreck your faith for anything. It is also working together for your good. I pray that the Holy Spirit will empower you and cause you to triumph and overcome every impediment on your way in Jesus name. Receive greater grace to overcome in Jesus name.

I declare that, I am an overcome in Jesus name.

BE GROUNDED AND ROOTED FOR MAXIMUM IMPACTS viii
Proverbs 25:28
Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.

Beloved, we thank God for this day. We continue looking at the mark of self control that every believer must possess. The truth is that, when we are saved by Christ’s sacrifice, we are free (Galatians 5:1). That liberty includes, among other things, freedom from sin. “Our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin” (Romans 6:6). Now, as the Spirit gives us self-control, we can refuse sin.

Believers need self-control because the outside world and internal forces still attack (Romans 7:21-25). Like a vulnerable city, we must have defenses. A wall around an ancient city was designed to keep out the enemy. Judges at the gates determined who should be allowed in and who should remain outside. Soldiers and gates enforced those decisions. In our lives, these defenses might include avoiding close relationships with sinners, meeting with other believers, and meditating on the life-giving Word of God.

Self-control naturally leads to perseverance (2 Peter 1:6) as we value the long-term good instead of the instant gratification of the world. Self-control is a gift that frees us. It frees us to enjoy the benefits of a healthy body. It frees us to rest in the security of good stewardship. It frees us from a guilty conscience. Self-control restricts the indulgence of our foolish desires, and we find the liberty to love and live as we were meant to.

My brother! My sister be grounded in self control. Never loose this protective virtue. We shall continue tomorrow God willing.

Stay blessed.

I pledge, oh Lord, to be deeply rooted and grounded in self control so help me God.
