Topic – Keep on Praying
Message From – Mary Ola
Text – 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 18: 1 – 8, Isaiah 62: 6 – 9
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We bless God for yet another wonderful day to be counted among the living.
For the past few weeks, our head pastor: Rev. Felix A. Arthur has been taking us through a topic on prayer. The need to pray, what prayer does, what happens when we do not pray.
We keep calling God our father and yet we find it difficult to communicate with him. Sometimes also we feel we have been praying on a particular issue far too long and God (Father) seems not to answer or He is taking too long to answer our prayers. When you read about the persistent widow in Luke 18: 1 – 8, Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” The part that struck me most was when Jesus asked the question “However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” This means that our level of faith is determined by our level of prayer. The widow in this verse kept pestering this judge not because she had nothing doing but because she had faith that if she keeps pushing and not give up, this judge will attend to her needs.
Dearly beloved, what it is that you have placed before the judge of the whole earth and it seems like answers are not forth coming? KEEP PARYING ABOUT IT AND DON’T GIVE UP. Like the persistent widow keep pushing. Imagine if she had given up along the way.
Let’s take a look at the Prophet Elijah who prayed that there should be no rain Israel and later had to pray in 1 Kings 18: 41 – 44 for God to send down rain. Elijah’s prayers was not answered at the first prayer. He had to pray seven times before God sent down rain.
There are some prayer request that God answers in a jiffy, others take days, weeks, months even years. Just know the God who answered that prayer quickly is still alive, listening to your next prayer and watching level of faith, persistence and patience. I believe God will come through for us if we do not faint (Luke 18:1).
Just as a child believes in his/her parent to supply all needs, so we also with a praying spirit and not giving up, trust God to come through for us. I BELIEVE HE WILL
God bless His word. AMEN!

Topic: God’s Mercy in Our Weakness
Text: Romans 7: 14 - 25
Word From: Mary Ola
I bless God and also thank the Head Pastor for giving me the opportunity to bring the Word of God to you.
We all, one way or the other have a weakness. We have that sin, pain, hurt, burden that we battle with every single day of our lives.
We have a sin that so much ways us down.
Apostle Paul say in Romans 7:15 - I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.
Just like Apostle Paul we are all fighting a war against the flesh. Sometimes we win, sometimes, we lose.
Tonight, I'm presenting to you God's mercy. God's mercy comes through for us in our weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9-11.
Jesus Christ coming to the earth was because of our weakness. Christ came, felt our pain, our struggles, sin, carried them and nailed it on the cross. That is why He is able to intercede on our behalf. Jesus Christ, like a big brother keep telling God - I've been there I know how it feels, bear with them, give them another chance, another opportunity. So the next time your weakness seems to be overwhelming you, look to the cross, look to Jesus who is seated at the mercy sit and lay it all at His feet. Hebrews 4:16 says, So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
So, note that the weakness you are battling with, God has already provided a way out.
Brethren, I don't know what weakness is weighing up on you. I can't even guess it but know this, God knows. He knows and yet won't make mockery of it. Tell your weakness to man and they might laugh at you or gossip about it to five, ten or more people. But when you bring them to the Mediator (Christ), at the Mercy Seat, He will turn that weakness into strength.
I want you to take a few minutes to bring that weakness, that burden at His feet right now. Talk to Him about and believe Him. Amen!
God bless you All and have a wonderful evening.

TUESDAY EVENING PRAYERS

TUESDAY MAY 26, 2020

Ps. Ebenezer Agyei Arthur
Topic: Prayer Changes things

Elijah was a man with nature like ours, and he prayed ernestly that it might not rain and it didn't rain on earth for three years and six months. He prayed again and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruits. (James 5:17-18)

Indeed, prayer changes situations; problems are solved, barriers are lifted, darkness are illuminated the sick are healed, barrens are conceived, promises and Prophecies are fulfilled and the like. when men pray.

Other wise the hearts of men change when prayer is offered . In fact, prayer can change the history of corona virus pandemic spread to other parts of the world.

When Elijah prayed, God heard. When John Knox cried, "Give me Scotland or I die;" and when Martin Luther said, "i will not let go of you, God, until you give me Germany, " God heard them. Is time also for you to change things by your own PRAYER.

PRAYER POINTS:

(i)Thank God for every good and perfect gift of life and other things He has done for you. (James 1:17)

(ii)Ask God's protection and peace for each one of our church members, families and friends.( Phi 4:6)

(iii)Ask God that, your affection will be on things above (Col 3:2)

(iv) pray for courage and protection for health personnel (Joshua 1:9)

(v)pray for wisdom for scientists in their searching for medicine, they will find right medication to cure corona virus. (James 1:5)

(Isaiah 53:5)

THURSDAY EVENING SERVICE
MAY 14, 2020
Ps. Alice Ola
Good evening brothers and sisters in the Faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. We bless God for yet another wonderful evening.
First, let us pray and commit ourselves into the hand of God. Let us also pray and ask God to help us understand and love Him more than we did before in Jesus Name (Amen)
Luke 15: 11 – 32 God gave a parable about the prodigal son. A story, telling us how God loves us and always waiting for us to come back to Him.
Maybe you were once a faithful Christian but have now gone back to the world like the prodigal son. The current happenings is a sign from God that without Him, we are nothing.
God is calling you dear brothers and sisters. He wants us to come back to Christ our saviour.
The verse 14 say… But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.
But later he came to his senses. In this pandemic, my prayer for all prodigal sons is that after the lifting of the lockdown on public gathering (Churches), we will see all our Brothers and Sisters back in Church in Jesus name (Amen).
We as the older son in verse 25, should not complain or make them feel less of themselves. We should rather show them love by interceding for them and ask for God’s mercy, healing and comfort for them. (Amen)
Prayer points
1) Mathew 6: 9 – 13
2) Gal 2:20
3) Psalms 16:11
4) Psalms 17:5
5) Psalms 17:7
6) Psalms 17:8

SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE 19th April
TOPIC: THE FELLOWSHIP
This morning I want to share with you on what happens after salvation. Many at times when we preach to be saved we tell them about Christ’s saving power and Lordship. They believe in Christ as their savior and lord but we do not tell them what is involved with the Lordship of Jesus.

HOW DOES CHRIST LORDS OVER HIS PEOPLE?
The Lordship of Jesus is different from that of other lords. Unlike the other lords, the Lordship of Jesus Christ is administered by the Holy Spirit. The Lordship of Jesus Christ is in the form of fellowship rather than task-oriented. Just as God sent Jesus to save, so did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to fellowship. John 14:16-17. So through the Holy Spirit the believer enjoys an intimate fellowship with the Lord.
2 Corinthians 13: 14: emphasis on the three administrational offices of the Godhead are:
1. The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
2. The Love of God
3. The Fellowship of the Holy Spirit
God sent Jesus to show His love (Romans 5:8). Jesus came by Grace to save us (John 1:17; John 3: 17). Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to administer fellowship among His people. (John 14: 23, 26)
So under the administration of the Holy Spirit the believer fellowships with Christ the Lord.

SALVATION: means new life in Christ from now till eternity. From the day you were born again unto eternity. So what is left throughout the believer’s lifetime is fellowship with the Lord. (1 John 1:3, 1 Corinthians 1:9)

After you are born again or have believed in Jesus as your LORD and Savior a relationship is created. (John 11:12-13). The next thing is fellowship with the Godhead and every believer must know this. In John 21:1-14, after His resurrection Jesus initiated this fellowship. It appears that after Christ’s resurrection the believers were somehow confused, disturbed, disorganized, discouraged or disappointed— that was before the Holy Spirit was poured on them. Peter decided to go back to his old life (fishing); the other six disciples were influenced by Peter’s decision. They went back to the sea all night till daybreak. When they came back Jesus met them at the shore, not to rebuke them, not to condemn them but to fellowship with them:
1. To welcome them
2. To find out about their situation
3. Extended a helping hand to them
4. Had prepared breakfast for them
5. He asked for more fishes to prepare
6. He invited all of them to come and dine with Him
7. Then he served them the bread and fishes
Wow! What a fellowship. Remember what he says in John 14:21,23 and Rev. 3:20. Yes Jesus in fellowship. After this He invited Peter and instead of rebuking or condemning him for denying Him (John 21: 15-17) He rather restored Peter— putting him in charge of others.
1. Trying to show how He loves us
2. Trying to prove how He cares
3. Trying to show that He is always in control
4. Trying to show that His Lordship is real

After the day of Pentecost, the believers’ hearts were strengthened and the fellowship became stronger and intimate. That is what John meant when he said:
1. We are in fellowship with the Father and His son, Jesus Christ
2. And we are inviting you to join our fellowship (1 John 1:3)

Jesus loves our fellowship. He is always in touch and he wants you to always be in touch. There may be times that you can be discouraged, disturbed, disappointed, disorganized and confused. But know these:
1. Jesus will always be close to you
2. He will always be concerned about you
3. He will always be caring
4. He will always intervene and help with the situation
His fellowship with you is intimate. He has a vision for your life; to give life and abundant life. (John 10:10). He’s true to that.

The Bible says “God who has called you into this fellowship is faithful” (1 Corinthians 1:9). We fellowship with the Lord in prayer, the word (meditation), worship and Christian gathering.

1. Prayer: We are given these channels to communicate with God. In prayer we share all we want with God. (John 14:13-14)
2. The Word (Meditation): Our meditation on the Word will prosper our lives. The word will guide. The word will lead and teach. The word is God’s communication to us.
3. Worship: It is when we focus on God’s worthiness and ascribe to Him what is due Him, either in songs, hymns or spiritual songs. Worship gives us illumination and inspiration. (Psalm 100:1-5, Ephesians 5:18)
4. Christian Gathering: Fellowship among believers where the Father’s presence is (Acts 2:42-46). Jesus said where two or more believers will gather, He will be there among them (Matthew 18:20). Paul said: “If you meet and the Lord is in your midst and my spirit is with you”; Christian gathering is a great fellowship. (Hebrew 12:22-24)
5. Ministering: Christian ministering is also a fellowship whereby our various ministries bless one another. Nobody blesses himself with his ministry (Romans 12:6-8). We use our various ministries to bless each other and God is glorified.

As Christians fellowship is what we live for. We fellowship with the Father, the Son and one another. The Holy Spirit is the basis of our fellowship.

Our fellowship with the Lord is always refreshing. Our fellowship always strengthens us.
Our fellowship with the Lord will always fill our hearts with the joy of the Lord.
Our fellowship with the Lord will always bring fresh anointing on our lives to empower us.
Our fellowship with the Lord will manifest spiritual gifts in us to enable us to minister to others (Ephesians 5: 13).
Our fellowship with the Lord is eternal— now and forevermore.

Therefore, be devoted to the Lord all your lifetime.
