WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BORN AGAIN (The God kind of ratio)

For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 (NKJ)

A ratio indicates a relationship between two amounts, in terms of how one relates to the other. God is Three but One. There is the Almighty God Himself, His Word called Jesus and His Spirit called the Holy Spirit/Ghost. These Three are one person.

Per His plan of Salvation He chose to exist as Three seperate person's. The Almighty became the Father to as many as believe in Jesus His Word, who per His plan of Salvation became His Son. This sonship was made possible by His Spirit, who per the plan of Salvation became the Spirit of Adoption. Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6, 7. He is the one who adopted Jesus from His original Word of God status (John 1:1-3) to become a son unto God. John 1:14. Thus Jesus divine position from eternity before He was born was the Word of God who created all things. John 1:3, Colossians 1:16, 17. He became the Son of God when He was conceived and born by the Virgin Mary. John 1:14

Jesus became the son, so that He can give the right to as as many as believe in Him to become the sons/daughters of God. John 1:12. The Holy Spirit became the Spirit of Adoption, the one who adopted Jesus from His divine Word of God status to become the son of God. Romans 8:15. The Almighty is the source personality of the Word and Spirit; in other words they originate from His great being. John 8:42, John 15:26

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BORN AGAIN (The Difference between the Old and New Testaments)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Continuation

God saw the need to send the Holy Spirit to help us obey Him, because our human effort was inadequate. This is why Apostle Paul wrote; the good I want to do I cannot, but it is the evil I do not want to do that I do because, sin lives in my flesh. Romans 7:14-25. Romans 8:1-17 was written as a solution for Romans 7:14-25. Romans 8:1 says: there will be no condemnation for those who walk in the Spirit. The condemnation is for only those who walk in the flesh. This is because, if we walk in the Spirit/become spiritual, we will not do the works of the flesh.

Galatians 3:20 says: by the deed of the law/by doing the law (by our own strength/effort), no man shall be justified/made right in God's sight. Since sin lives in our flesh, God discerned the need to give us a spiritual helper, one who can help us to spiritually overcome sin in the flesh. This is why Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit. John 14:16.

The Holy Spirit was sent to indwell us, so He can help us to spiritually overcome sin in our flesh. This is why when we cultivate a spiritual relationship with Him, we will not do the lust/desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16. Thus the biblical way to overcome sin in our flesh is not by our will power, but by becoming spiritual Christians. Stay blessed!

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BORN AGAIN (The Difference between the Old and New Testaments)

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Galatians 5:18

The difference between the Old and New Testaments is the Blood of Jesus that was shed and the Holy Spirit who has been sent to lead/help us. John 14:16 (NIV)

In the Old Testament, God commanded His people (the Israelites) to obey His commandments. Upon their obedience, He promised to reward them with His blessings which was His favor and protection. Deuteronomy 11:26-28. On the other hand, He promised to reward them with curses if they disobeyed. Curses meant problems, poverty, sicknesses and every evil thing. The limitation here was that, they were to obey these promises by their own effort.

God demanding we obey His word for His blessings and vice versa has not changed in the New Testament. What has changed is obeying His word/laws by our own effort. This is why He has sent the Holy Spirit to help us obey and do what we could not do by our own effort. Romans 8:3
