Who God Is And Why It Matters
Episode 026 (Reflections)

KEY POINTS

• Those trying to know God outside of Christ are always going to be left with a distorted view of God!

• No matter how faithful you are in following God, If your fellowship of God is not rooted in Christ, you're into idol worship.

• The only legitimate lens that God wants us to know Him is through Jesus Christ

• The fact that people reject the Gospel doesn't mean it is not true.

• The whole world can stand against the knowledge of the gospel but that doesn't mean it's not true

• We must understand that the devil is not happy about people being liberated.

• We must not lose heart because the message is being attacked!

• It is not about knowing God, it is about knowing God in Christ.

• There's a worship of God that is not in truth. e.g Apollos Acts 18:24

• Men reject the gospel because their minds have been blinded by the god of this age (deceptions, religion, opinions, mindsets that oppose Christ)

• Forgiveness of sins is not a prayer, it is a message.

• The justification has been offered, you belief accessed it.

• God's response to those who are preaching false gospel are those who preach the truth.

• God is using us as a counter-attack to those preaching deception.

• The Gospel doesn't only give you knowledge of God, it corrects your distorted view of life as well

Last Sunday, we had the beautiful opportunity of having Bishop Essilfie with us at Kharis. It was a nice post-camp experience! He shared with us His journey to the Gospel and encouraged us to remain faithful to the message. One of the notable statements he shared was that: "When the message is carcass, the congregation will be vultures".
