The mother of Ohene Kwame Frimpong has publicly accused members of the New Patriotic Party of being behind her son’s current troubles following reports of his arrest in Amsterdam over alleged fraud and money laundering offences.

Speaking emotionally to the media, the MP’s mother claimed that her son had been targeted long before the 2024 general elections due to his political influence and activities.

“NPP are behind my son’s problems. They targeted him and even wanted to k.|| him before the elections,” she alleged.

According to her, the embattled MP had faced several thræts in the past, adding that the recent developments did not come as a surprise to the family.

The arrest of Hon. Kwame Frimpong has generated widespread public debate both in Ghana and abroad, with many awaiting official details surrounding the allegations levelled against him.

As of now, neither the MP’s legal team nor the leadership of the NPP has officially responded to the claims made by his mother.
