"Problems Are Not Problems" (Part 1).
Numbers 13
31. But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people [of Canaan], for they are too strong for us.” 32 So they gave the Israelites a bad report about the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we went, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants. And all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature."
At the LORD's command Moses sent out twelve men, each representing a tribe of Israel, to go out and spy the land of Canaan, which the LORD had promised to give the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
After spying the land for forty days, they (the spies) came to Moses and Aaron with report, first showing fruits from the land, confirming that it indeed was rich and full of plenty. Then from their view (human lens) they reported about the giants on the land and how the cities were walled(fortified). They cried out bitterly and complained that they can't overcome the giants on the land and that they were like grasshoppers in the sight of the people and in their own sight, meanwhile that was the land the LORD Himself promised to give them. Did their report make the LORD a liar??
My question to a reader is, when you encounter "problems", how do you go about them?
How actually do you understand "problems"?
Are "problems" really problems?
Are we supposed to encounter "problems" even in the promises of God?
Think deeper about these as we wait for the concluding part tomorrow.
Shalom 🤗
